You need a stainless steel tub and have it heating over a stove for this product . Constant stirring for 30 plus minutes as per instructions didn’t dye my dogsFleece coat from lilac to black . At all.

This dress was originally cream in colour and I'd attempted to use a natural black dye on it which had left some staining but hadn't dyed the full garment. This was because the dress is synthetic.. Well this dye has completely covered up the stains and given it a uniform look. It is very light to what I expected but not too pale.I used a whole bottle of this in a bucket of boiling water. I firt filled the bucket ro just what i needed, added the dish soap, mixed and then soaked my garment in it before straining the boiling water from the garment back into the bucket. I then put the wet garment to the sode and , added the dye to the remaing amount in rhe bucket, mixed and resubmerged the garment. I then stired continually for several minutes then regularly for the first half hour. Then left it gor a few hours, stirring every half hour for a few minutes and ensuring when i left that the whole garment was submerged under. As the bucket wasnt completely full i found adding extra boiling water half way through to help keep the water hot was a good idea.Your supposed to do it on the stove in a steel pan with a teaspoon of dish soap added in but that wasn't an option for me so I did the bucket way. Afterwards I rinsed and then hand washed it and tumble dried the dress. I've yet to machine wash it which will tell how much dye will actually come out . I might see if I can get ahold of some rit black dye but I'm very happy with how this turned out.

Brought this to re dye my hammock due to sun fade, followed instructions exactly as states on bottle (used the whole bottle for darker colour) after time states the colour had not changed (originally orange) even leaving it to soak in dye over night when pulled from water it was still orange just slightly muted.
