The Cyclone 8" Dust Fume Extractor IS NOT RECOMMENDED for heavy duty building work, plastering etc. It is ideal for light industrial work and the removal of fumes. The Cyclone range of Dust Fume Extractors are made to the highest standards with high quality components that are made to last. The core is made from high class cold-rolled silicon steel, which results in a smaller energy loss and less than 50k temperature rise. Use of high grade, 100% enameled, copper wire with better insulation. Strong oscillating overload capacity means the motor is better protected and lowers the risk of burning it out. Durable aluminium allows for high precision with low running noise. Steady ball bearing performance which is able to run for 5,000 hours continuously. Thermal protector, further protects the motor. Other features include: flared ends to allow easy attachment of ducting, balanced carry handle for easy transportation, guarded on-off switch and anti vibration rubber feet. Ideal for use in many applications where you need to either extract stale air out or bring fresh air in e.g. building sites, workshops, welding booths, factories, laboratories, roof spaces etc. This product comes with 5m flexible PVC ducting.

This is not very noisy, certainly not as loud as a henry hoover! We use this as extraction for dust from our laser cutter in an enclosure of 5' x 3' and it takes all the smell and dust out through the window so I am no longer breathing it all in. It is also easy to take the guards off to clean which I have to do once a week. Would buy again.

After a few delays with delivery which the seller wonderfully sorted out I got the fan set up on site today. It is performing well and is removing the dust from the air as expected. It was also very good to have a phone call from the sellers to make sure everything had arrived. That personal touch makes all the difference.

Extracts air and blows air.Didn't find it too useful as an extractor for fumes, but good for ventilation in cramped areas.Maybe wrong application by me, hence 4 stars.

It’s not powerful enough for dust extraction,had the fan indoors where I was taking a wall down,knock through. Put duct out of window & sealed space around window where duct was hanging out so as to prevent air being drawn back in the room. Closed all doors & sealed bottom of doors with dust sheets to room to create a vacuum where wall was to be removed but fans seem to be not very good and is blowing dust back in. I even tried reversing duct on fan but only does the opposite. So in the end it seemed to work better with the windows still sealed off with duct poking out put the fan to them outside with the duct in the room. But still not powerful enough to remove the dust.this fan is only really any good for fumes I would say. so have now bought different brand & much bigger ,,12 inch. I think this is the problem as the duct is only 8 inch not a big enough diameter and the fan is only 8inch & not very powerful for dust removal.but would be good for fumes or increasing air volume to a confined space.
