I looked at lots of science kits for my 6yr old daughter, it this seemed to have all of the best elements. She loves the test tubes (chunky and plastic with screwtop lids) as they look really lab like, the safety glasses, and the pipette particularly. It comes with plenty of stuff to make experiments, and any other requirements are around the house stuff (warm water, sugar etc.). She has already played with it for hours, but there are still lots of experiments to do, and she also just likes mixing stuff up in the test tubes😁. I’m planning on buying a plastic box with a clip on lid to keep it all in. I know one science kit has this already but I looked at this one and that and found this one looked far better. Great purchase.

My kids did have great fun with this. A nice selection of experiments. They were very disappointed that there didn’t appear to be an experiment with the slime provided though.

Excellent gift! Bought this for my daughter for Xmas and she loves it. The experiments do need some adult supervision but she even enjoys playing with it without setting up any of the experiments.You will need some additional items (e.g. Food colouring, sugar) but are easy to find if you don't have them lying around already.Would thoroughly recommend!

It's not that expensive and provides hours of fun.It does need to be taught, so you gotta be willing to do it with your kids. We do a few a week. They love it when the science box comes out.Top resource.

Experiments very underwhelming to parent, and like other reviews have mentioned most didn't really work (coloured liquids didn't separate etc). However 6yr old boy seems perfectly happy and keen to play with it. I guess it's fun enough for him just to put on goggles and mix the colours in test tubes, with no results. Therefore still recommended but don't get hopes up.

My children aged 6 and 13 are completing the experiments together, 6yo loves wearing the goggles, using the test tubes, pipette and Petri dish. It’s a real hit so far. The dye in water kaleidoscope and colour mixing were enjoyable. The equipment is sturdy and good quality. A big hit!
