Does everything and more for my personal use.I do like the min/max feature particularly on car batteries when starting so you can observe the drop in voltage .I like to select switch for different functions and it feels quality . The leads are quit soft and flexible.Definitely a great addition to the work bench but I gave still kept 2 other multimeters in other tool kits but this one is quickly becoming my favourite.Remember this is my opinion only but for DIY and maybe some professional use its a nice unit at a reasonable price. Shame about not having protective case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent meter, big display, and separate current ports

    M. · 29 September 2024

For ages I've had one of those cheap multimeters, and I really fancied something a bit more capable - this did not disappoint. I got it, the Khanka Hard Case, and the separate test leads kit all together as a gift to myself. While I might have loved to own Fluke, this one does what I need without breaking the bank!It comes with enough stuff to be immediately very good, though I prefer the test leads from the separate kit - the stock ones are fine and still come with removable tip shrouds (so you don't accidentally short between component legs so easily). The display is nice and big, and there's no problem with viewing angle. The backlight is electroluminescent or similar, so it's a good uniform blue to read off.The built-in stand is nice and steady, but it can jam sometimes when folding back in. There's an integrated magnetic strap too, which I've not had to use yet but which is very good at picking up steel grinding dust from the workbench. While the test leads are all properly shrouded for safety, you can also plug in regular 4mm banana leads if you're doing a hookup on a bench (the separate test leads kit comes with spring clip leads with stacking banana connectors, which can be really handy for certain setups). One feature I bought this specifically for is that the current measurement ranges all use separate connectors - so there's never a situation where the voltage test ports are shorted together. So long as you're methodical and always return your leads to the main input, you're unlikely to accidentally blow up fuses (or equipment). There are two separate current connections and both are separately fused; there is no unfused range. The current shunts are somewhere around 100mΩ (A connector), 1Ω (mA setting) 100Ω (µA setting).

4.0 out of 5 stars A decent budget multimeter!

I bought this as a spare, in case I need a simple multimeter for testing or small projects. This multimeter is obviously not a High-end meter but with a wide range of functionality - it is a great choice for its price when it comes to doing Home electrical, Automotive (12vdc) electrical troubleshooting, Heater/Boilers troubleshooting (24vac), Solar installation testing and troubleshooting (12-48vdc), etc.· It has a nice and useful magnetic hanger.· It has a stand for the multimeter to stay up (unfortunately, it is a bit fragile - open it carefully).· Easy to use, compact, and has easy to read display. This is not the meter I would use to make sensitive electronics, fine adjustments of electrical components, computer work, etc. - for computer work/repairing motherboards/sensitive components - I prefer something more expensive, multifunctional and more accurate.👉 This meter is also nice because if you accidentally damage it or lose it you are not out much money.✔ Pros:+ Build Quality is OK for the price+ Big screen + Backlit+ Easy to Use+ Affordable✖ Cons:- Fragile kickstand- ’’Glow’’ effect on the right side of the screen- Rigid switch- Beep, Beeep, BEEP (lots of beeping)The reason I am giving this multimeter 4 stars is because the issues with this meter are really not issues to me, or rather: they are not so significant for my purposes - because the situations that cause those issues can usually be worked around and 99% of the things, I use this meter for work accurately and rapidly.Overall, I think this is okay for a lot of home uses especially for the price. I would probably buy a much better meter if I needed something for a professional job.↘ ↘ ↘If you found this review helpful, please show some love by clicking the "Helpful" button below. It really helps me to know which of my reviews you like and find useful.Thank you and Have a great day!

    4 1/2 stars & fuse discussion

    M. · 16 August 2023

I believe the design is essentially one that uses the cheapest parts that still provide mostly high quality measurements. I don't expect it to last forever and I already own broken multimeters. I thought my best multimeter (USA brand, $80, but also made in China) just went on the blink which is the reason why I bought this one. I made the mistake of not testing its battery with a load on it. Its display lit up bright but went into crazy and the battery tested at 9.5v. Shame on me for not testing the battery properly. I use my cheap H.F. multimeter for testing 1.5 & 9v batteries since it can test them properly but often I'm lazy and only apply the voltage test which bit me here. Zinc carbon batteries are notorious for sometimes testing at a high voltage even when dead. "Lucky" for me I accidentally discovered the battery was dead when I received my new multimeter. (I put the dead battery in the new DM6000AR and it acts completely dead unlike in my more expensive multimeter which displays, albeit incoherently.)I'm currently in the process of taking down my over-the-range microwave oven to replace what I expect to be a blown thermal fuse. I've had to test ceramic fuses on two microwaves already so I'm aware of the potential difficulties and hazards. Fuses were on my mind when I bought this multimeter so I looked to see how easy it would be to get replacement fuses (and how much it will cost). I googled 400mA and 10A ceramic 600V 6x30mm fuses. I came up with very little. I went to a link target and saw two reviews there from people that bought that fuse (probably both people for this multimeter) and one of the reviewers posted a picture showing the received fuse was longer than 30mm and it could not be made to work (later I found what I believe is the same person included the photo in a review here too). I contacted AstroAI for sources for fuses and was advised on how to search. I emailed back and was given more search advice. Still, my options were little better after having completely wasted a large chunk of time. (I did find that when you need one fuse, you will probably have to buy 5 or even 10 of the same. Bolo may not be the best source for fuses.) I emailed back and I was sent three links to specific fuses. None ideal for bother now, but at least AstroAI finally helped. All three times I emailed, AstroAI quickly responded. Hopefully, you'll never need a fuse, but here's what I found out by searching and conversing with AstroAI. You may have to or want to settle for 250V instead of 600V - this will guarantee more choices. You can use .5A (500mA) instead of 400mA. You can use Slow Blow fuses instead of Fast Blow but I wonder if this is mostly only if you are getting 250V instead of 600V - probably not, but it might be best. In all cases, look only at size 6x30mm and ceramic, not glass. I just now see another reviewer who contacted AstroAI a couple years ago about fuses ended up buying BOJACK brand fuses (18 pieces each) but got glass fuses. I think glass is wrong and also less safe.I timed the backlight (turned on by holding the H button until it comes on) at 13 fixed short seconds. On an unrelated note, others have reported that pressing the Select button while turning on disables Auto Power Off (normally APO on display) (lasts for one session) so the multimeter doesn't shutdown after 15 minutes. While in this state, supposedly, it will beep every 15 minutes as a reminder. The reason I rounded 4 1/2 stars up to 5, is because the included bitsy manual says 3 year warranty (I'll disregard the nebulous "normal wear and tear of mechanical components" disclaimer). Weird that the warranty is nowhere stated on this Bolo page, and when I clicked on the warranty info link, Bolo sent me to a useless broken page that screws with my browser. The link to a pdf/printable manual provided by the first/top reviewer was appreciated although it has (I believe exactly) three differences (from the included tiny script) since it must be an older manual. It shows there used to be only a one year warranty and the fuses used to be a much larger size. I just now see there is also a link provided by AstroAI to a pdf manual which has the (updated) three year warranty but it still gives the old or wrong (10x38mm) fuse size!!! And both of the pdf's have a picture of the multimeter but it's model WH5000A (not DM6000AR) although otherwise identical including "6000 COUNTS". I just searched and found a report that the DM6000AR been remarketed in the West from the Kuman WH5000A. Reviewers liked the magnet which I immediately ditched. I folded some scotch tape on the flimsy kickstand because otherwise it's too flush to pull out.I reserve the right to downgrade my rating because AstroAI states on this page: "Batteries : 1 Lithium Metal batteries required. (included)" before it eventually states "Zinc Carbon" which is not the same nor as good.

Ein tolles Produkt um kleinen Preis.
