I switched to a whole food plant based diet nearly three years ago and I was aware of the potential for b12 deficiency, because the vitamin normally comes from microbes in the soil and everything we buy in the shops is washed numerous times.Early on I took a B12 that was said to meet RDA requirements and at first I wad fine, then after six months I was suffering badly. I started with a lower strength B12 from the same manufacturer and saw some improvement, but further research showed we need considerably more as we become older, so I ordered this and now take one tablet three times a week. Within a short time I was feeling a whole lot better and have continued like that ever since. I am currently 55 and by the time I am 65 I'll probably take one a day.These are easy to take, being easily broken up to absorb more effectively. The taste is not great, but easily ignored with a cup of tea and that is all that needs to be said really. They are cheap & effective, while I would add that many meat eaters are also deficient in B12. This is a really important vitamin for good health.

I take these because i am a vegan. They seem to be doing the job. Unless a person is severely deficient its difficult to tell. I doubt if they will improve energy and fatigue for same reasons.

Having done a little research, I discovered that this is, in fact the better of the two vitamin B12 type supplements that you should be taking. The preferred method is actually to have a pill that dissolves in your mouth as the saliva interacts with the pill and helps with absorption. I find that if I bite into this pill and let the saliva absorb into the crunched up bits and then swallow it that must be the same.These seemed to be good value. Hopefully it does what it says on the tin, never can tell with supplements, but I have no complaints.

I have extreme issues with the packaging of these tablets...the plastic box they are in is so difficult to open that it's almost impossible without spilling the contents... then when you have the lid off you have to tip the tablet out as the box is too deep , even when supposedly full, as in just bought, to get your fingers down in the box to get a tablet.It's very hard to tip out just one tablet so again you have a handful of tablets.When you have other tablets to be taking daily all this fuss for one B12 is just too much...I shall not buy this brand again.
