This shouldn't happen. This shaver head actually shaves closer than the one that came with shaver. (Series 9 pro plus). The 94m that came with the shaver is supposed to have surgical steel blades that last longer. I've only had it since xmas (2025) and it seems to have dulled already. I've had this 92s for over a year, and it still shaves great. What gives?.

Somewhat confsing as regards to model number - tried reading it on mine and it was with great difficulty discovered it was a "9242s" by laboriously going back to Bolo orders in July 2019 when I bought the razor. Although the replacement shaver head is listed "suitable for all models," my particular model is not included in the list. So I took a gamble and ordered it anyway. And I'm glad I did that - the performance is like turning the clock back to 2019!

(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Just want to tell all you Braun series 9 S Shavers about the the problem I have read about the noisy Cassette Cartridge, the Cartridge is not noisy it’s your shaver Drive Unit part number BR-81677628-81713521, I had that noisy problem and I was lucky because I have a new Braun series 9 that was still in the box so I put the head from my older series 9 on my new one and wow it was quiet.Then I started investigating the problem and found out about the Cartridge if you read this Bolo could you start carrying the Series 9 Cassette Cartridge because they have them on ebay but would cost to much to get them delivered to me here in Canada.For those of you having the problem with the Foil I usually get 1 year out of mine, as for new one cutting better I always find the cut is good until I get the hole in the foil remember as you shave the blades is being sharpened and that I know, I’ve been shaving with Braun Shavers for 50 years and the series 9 has been the best shaver just hoping to be able to get the part to repair my 5 year old one rather than throw it out.

Name brand Braun Series 9 is the best choice.
The Braun Series 9 replacement gave a nice shave from the start.A prior purchase of the off-brand was worse than an old Braun Series 9.I recommend the name-brand replacement.
