1. Inaudible. 2. Cheap. 3 Efficient. 4. Effective!!! It managed to clean 50x120 cm in 30 minutes or so!!! The only downside is the reliability. This is my second unit. The previous one stopped working after some time - I don't remember exactly. STILL. I thoroughly recommend it!! For 13 quid?? All the time!! 10/10!!!

The media could not be loaded. Quality of the filter is tougher and sturdiness as it needs to be, it is well designed, looks sleek. Does not take up much space, slim, slender and near enough nano.I am really pleased with this here skimmer. It's doing such fine work within under 2 hours of me setting up. Helping me maintain a clean tank for my turts by breaking up bits of turts skin, plant matter, food particles and then recycling them broken bits through the skimmer. My tank is usually clean through AllPondSolutions FF-250 Aqaurium External Filter but this skimmer is picking up what the filter cannot catch, simply because that filter has not got an air blaster that breaks chunks of trash up where as this one does.NOTE: I had realised it had come with a silicone tube. Really am impressed as it appears we're offered to use this tube to control air setting from outside of the tank/pond rather than hovering over the tank/pond to control the air dial. You can apply the silicone tube where you would intially put acrylic tube to control the air dial then pop the acrylic tube inside of silicone along with the dial.....You're now controlling the air breakage from outside of the tank/pond.It's a must have for anyone who wants to keep a cleaner tank for longer. i'm due to purchase 2 more of these skimmers so i can set them up in all corners besides one.5/5 AllPondSolutions has a new regular customer. Best skimmer online or anywhere. Built and fit for purpose at a great quality for the price it is at. Well worth the monies, time to get it and then hands on. Perfect!

The description is a little misleading. Just to be clear this is not a protein skimmer ...this is a simple sponge filter/aerator. The motor brings surface water into a funnel and as it gets pulled through the quater/half inch of sponge it is cleaned of particles....that's pretty much it! There is an option to introduce air via the air inlet, which produces an attractive and controllable stream of bubbles into the tank...great for freshwater tanks but not so good for marine. It is very quiet...and works well in removing debris from the surface...and the price is very good. The 4 suckers are very effective. So for a freshwater aquarium it's a nice little buy, unobtrusive and fun. For marine tanks (which I have) I'd say it's quite redundant...for the surface water would already be cleaned whether you have a sump or a filter chamber. Having bought many All Pond Solutions products in the past I feel that the comapny needs an overhall in fine tuning the quality/useablity of their products. I have often been left feeling disappointed in the products, with the exception being an aquarium and sump that I bought which was extremely well made......the cabinet they came in though was expensive and absolute garbage...anyway, four stars for this little device if you have freshwater but a total non event if you have marine. Available from other sellers on Bolo for £2.

Great product for removing that unsightly oily water surface you get due to biofilm formation.I have a 30L tank, the unit is small and doesnt take up too much space and doesnt look unsightly. Works brilliantly as an aerator also.Only downside is for a 30L tank the pump it quite strong despite being able to adjust the amount of water skimming it can do (bonus it can control the amount of air intake so you can get it to produce less or more bubbles) the unit pump is strong so with everything on the low setting it still pumps a little agressively for a small tank.Despite that i only have it on for a hour at a time as to not knock my shrimp around constantly.Highly recommend if you need to remove that oily biofilm that form ontop of aquariums.

I bought this as a solution for a surface algae problem which had plagued one of my aquariums for months.It was very simple to put together and install and almost silent when operating.The algae was all gone by the next morning.I was so pleased after spending months cleaning, trying different useless filter mediums, different lighting and many, many water changes.I can't recommend this cheap and simple skimmer highly enough and wish i had tried it sooner.Thanks for such a great product.

When this item works it works fine. Except it only does this a small portion of the time. I have had 3 of these (one of them a begrudging replacement by APS) and all 3 have broken. They all have the same issues, the suction cups arent strong enough and the power cable is far too thick and sticks out pushing the unit away from the tank wall. When this happens and you dont see it it causes chaos blowing around the tank. I dont know why this cable is as big as it is. My current unit of just over a year old, used sparingly once a month or so has now stopped working unless i take the entire unit out, pull it apart and then put it back in. It then might work for a few seconds and then stop again. It is not worth the trouble and water mess to be constantly messing on like this. It is a good price and if it works then great but in my experience it wont last long at all.

Both the suckers and the air pipe were missing from the package. Luckily I had spare parts from other things so could make it work. Shame as it works very well, and cleared the water in my 120L tank in under 2 hours, just be warned parts may be missing.

Prodotto secondo aspettative e arrivato rima del termine indicato. Unica pecca probabilmente da me non notata all’atto dell’acquisto è stata la presa tipo americana non conforme al nostro sistema italiano. Ho dovuto adattarla.

Aperto dalla scatola e mi sono accorto che mancano le venose di fissaggio in dotazione! Manca l'adattatore di presa italiana visto che arriva con quella americana.... Domani faccio il reso...

Non rimuove la patina di superficie

Come skimmer non è male, la spin Inglese basta comprare un adattatore in un negozio di Cinesi, già quiè una spesa e tempo.... la qualità dei materiali e la pompa non è male il problema è la costruzione, le feritoie sono troppo profonde e aspirando l'acqua sotto il pelo di superficie non aspira la patina, cosa per cui l'ho acquistata. Prima avevo un Heim che però è microscopico, funziona molto bene ma dopo 10" bisogna rimuoverlo e pulire il filtrino di 1 cm2. RESO
