Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Dave Franco return to reprise their roles as criminal illusionists in this comedy crime drama. A year on from their last daring heist, The Four Horsemen emerge from hiding to expose the unethical practices of a corrupt tech magnate. Unfortunately for them, they instead find themselves blackmailed into stealing a powerful piece of technology by businessman Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe). Their quest to steal the decrypting device known as 'The Stick' takes magicians Danny (Eisenberg), Merritt (Harrelson), Jack (Franco) and their new partner Lula (Lizzy Caplan) across the globe as they try to pull off another elaborate life-or-death illusion, with help from their FBI insider Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo). The cast also includes Morgan Freeman, Jay Chou, Sanaa Lathan and Michael Caine.

I absolutely loved the first film, I will admit I love magic. I know it is an illusion, but watching magic takes you back to a time of innocence. Anyway on to the film. Firstly I was disappointed that they did not manage to get Isla Fisher back as I loved her in the first movie. I do not know the actress who played the girl in this film, and she gave it her best, but it seemed that if they were continuing the story line, then they should have ensured that the complete first cast was back. Michael Caine was thrown in at the end, just so they could say that they had him in the movie which was a shame. As always Morgan Freeman was amazing, he has such a distinctive voice and it is always a pleasure to see him on screen, This movie was supposed to continue after the first, so I do think it is important that you have seen the first film. The problem I found , was that there were not as many tricks/ illusions as in the first and there was more story, that I found a little dull. The first film could have stood on its own, it did not need a sequel. This film felt like it was cashing in on the success of the first film. More tricks, less story and I would have enjoyed it more. I hope that they do not feel the need to make another one.

The story and actors do a fabulous job playing their parts, that you have got to watch it all. People take on the world by doing magic, disappearing and all that. I rated this an A grade plus worth owning and watching again so that you don't get bored. Fast moving and great to see. Enjoy!

You must see Now You See Me first to fully enjoy this one...
When I bought those two movies, it was a pure guess. The only one of the genre that I ever saw is the Illusionist, but I was so impressed by it that I was hoping for something similar with Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2. And that was one of my best guess ever. I'm not perfectly bilingual so I had to watch it a couple of time to understand completely the details of the story and it is the best that I've seen since The Sting with Paul Newman and Robert Redford.Using magic it's so new as a subject in that genre and it is so well done that both movies kept me sit in front of my screen for two full afternoons. All actors are performing their own character which so much conviction and the twists in the story are so unbelievable that you cannot predict who are the bad or the good guys behind the scene until the end. And geez, how I enjoy that kind of movie !Honestly, I would not know which other movie I can compare those with. But I can say this, both of them are highly entertaining and I just wish there will be some other sequels.
