Has UlL listing stickers, the ‘fan only’ unit I got had no cord, It seems pretty well crafted, but boy is that wiring compartment is darn small., getting the ground screw loosened in the bottom was a pain. I dunno what size screw it was neither any metric nor inch size nut driver I had would fit. But when fired up it, ran great , pretty powerful for a. 10inch fan. Yeah, I’d buy it again. My application needed to be installed in a horizontal position and the louvers popped right open. So it will work.Update April ‘22- got a second one to air out garage. Interestingly, the size of the wiring compartment has been enlarged., ground screw install was effortless. . Is someone reading my reviews & responding accordingly.? I appears so. Also the lovers have a blue plastic coating, apparently to seal better when closed. So I’m upping to 5 stars. As I said it’s powerful, quiet no vibration, well built. I like to buy USA made products which it is not, but the quality of this build could go up against anyone. It is nice to see a company take pride in the products and make something sturdy, as well as improve quality. Nice going iLiving!
Still Working
I purchased 2 of these units to install in my Cottage. One mounted inside the cottage on the wall to extract air and the the other in the Cottage Attic where one of the exit vents was located. I am not at the cottage often and I want fresh air all the time, so, I crack the windows at one end of the building and the fan is mounted in the wall at the other and I have it set on a timer. I should have thought of this years ago. What a difference in air quality when I arrive at the cottage. So far, so good. The bearings are holding up and the fans still run like new.
Good quality, high air flow for a 10" fan
Very easy install using the included template, I use this on a generator shed that houses an 8000 watt generator for when we have power outages. It kept the generator and shed interior quite cool during a 4 hour power outage and that included the custom exhaust breaking on the generator so it was able to not only keep the generator cool but keep a good supply of fresh air flowing into the generator. I cannot comment on how quiet it is as it only runs when the generator is running so it is not heard. Overall I am very pleased with the unit
Strong exhaust for garage
Works great. Has run near constantly since purchase 2+ years ago.Be sure to occasionally clean and oil it
Mine just died after 4 years
I purchased this in August of 2021. It just died on me. So I literally got 4 years out of it. I have two other 12-in fans I installed the same year that are still running strong as of now. But just be forewarned , my experience, 4 years and time to replace. And yes I did just reorder the same exact exhaust fan so, I guess I'm okay with replacing it every 4 years lol. It is a good price. There's three star rating, I would expect to get longer than 4 years out of this product when it only runs usually in the summertime only in my garage.
