This product may be assembled with consummate ease and they produce so soft a light that shadows are barely discernible. Lamp replacements are around £9 in the UK and much cheaper in the US of A. The stands are quite sturdy and adjustable in height . What I like about this lighting kit is that it can be carried by a child, they are so light. Another big plus for me is that you cannot get burnt when handling the assembled light, unlike tungsten lamps of the past. I took the trouble to measure the temperature inside the assembled light. With an ambient room temperature of 20C, the temperature inside the assembled light was 31C after half-an-hour of continuous use. With care, this lighting kit will last a lifetime.Many photographers and videographers suffer lamp breakages due to screwing the lamps into their holders too tightly and/or by gripping the glass spiral.. Once their contact is made, they only need an eighth of a turn applied by holding their BASE. NEVER HANDLE THE GLASS SPIRAL. They have a LARGE BASE which is DESIGNED TO BE HANDLED. With some lamps, potassium in the skin causes envelope porosity and they will suffer early failure. Keep them clean and free from fingerprints ... NO TOUCHY LAMP ENVELOPE SPIRAL.

This might be a top purchase for the year. They are fairly easy to install (I had to think abit about how to get the shades to fan out properly but worked it out myself quite quickly). They give you some serious illumination. They are also really light when packed up. For the price, I'm not sure how they could be better!I'd never used 'professional' lights before for my Ebay selling and other random uses and its definitely a game changer if you are considering it. Its amazing how much better products look under the lights. Also, while I still find it better shooting in daylight, they make it possible to shoot at night which is a big bonus in winter when you get so few daylight hours.

I have been developing my videography work for some time and needed better lighting, especially for green screen editing. These work really well. They are light to carry, easy to put together and do the job. The cables are a bit short but I use an extension lead because I often use them in the middle of a room rather than the edge so its not a problem. The only thing I wish they did do is have an adjustable dimmer for the times I dont need them to be as bright. Not a deal breaker because I just move them further away from the subject but if I bought new again I might spend more to get this feature. For the price and if youre getting used to more advance video or still work then get these, use them then get rid or sell them on.

This is a game changer for pics. I run an upcycling business deevintage.com (Free plug, why not) It has given me the freedom to take pics of my pieces in any room at any time of night. I have used it 4 times now and can assemble and disassemble very quickly now that I am used to it. I am so annoyed that I didnt invest in these sooner. My one tiny issue is that the tripod legs can sometimes seem to not take the lights and can seem like they are going to topple over. To combat this I make sure the handing bit of the light is over a tripod leg. Definately worth every penny though! The 1st pic is without the lights. The second pic is with the lights using the same camera. I did change the room so that I could set the lights up in front of the drawers. Amazing product

These are my Xmas present from my aunt . I am using them for filming YouTube video with an iPhone .I tested them out ,they assembled easily and intuitively , but if you are unsure there are plenty of videos of similar lights on YouTube to give you an idea but you will not need them .The stands are quite sturdy and if treated with care should last a sufficient amount of time .When assembled the soft boxes seem to do a great job and would be ideal for someone looking to do YouTube videos or photography etc .They seemed to disassemble with ease and pack away with no problems and are supplied with a case .I imagine one of these used with something like a neewar 176 as a fill light would give great results .I have the two soft box package as I imagine for the bit extra they cost it is worth having two if you need to light a backdrop/green screen. I’m very happy and can’t wait to get them opened again at Xmas and shoot some footage

I bought these for my partner who continues to grow on Twitch and thus wanted a better light set up. These are really good and unlike other reviews, I've had no issues swapping orientation between vertical and horizontal with ease.I find no flicker from them and they are very bright (so much so that we ended up using only one mainly as we had some other lights as well but I have used the other one for some bits and bobs I do.2 things which would not put me off but are worth considering based on your set up. 1) As shown on the pictures, they are big, mainly referring to the back-to-front aspect which means depending on how you plan to use it you might have to re-arrange. 2) The power cable is not particularly wrong. This is nothing an extension can't fix of course but it's one thing to consider.

Purchased these as I didn't have any continuous lights for photography setup indoors. I wasn't expecting much for the price but the reviews seemed quite good. Opening the package I was taken by surprise as it was better quality than I was expecting. The stands work fine, slide smoothly and lock fine. I was surprised again at the size of the bulbs, both well packaged. But the thing that really shone (no pun intended) for me was the reflectors. Having struggled furiously in the past trying to put softboxes together, these were pre-assembled and use a clever system for splaying out the sides, it was so simple.Are there higher quality lights out there? Of course there are, and stands and softboxes, but honestly for the price I paid, I wasn't expecting it to be this decent. Colour me happily surprised.

It is very easy to assemble and the materials are hard wearing. I’ve used it many times and i always placed it back on the bag, and all the parts are still working - that’s why I made a good review.

I always had to try and play around with photos to get them look good and would often move outside to take shots - not easy with a 4 layer cake or a bunch of cupcakes!Now instead of an hour to get one decent shot it takes 5 minutes in my simple little setup at home. So pleased with these.Gave 4 not 5 stars only because I would like the option to go about 30 or 40% brighter but love the lights and great value for money.

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried about quality but it's totally fine. I think the people talking about filters having ragged edges didn't turn them in the right way. Well packed. Easy to assemble. I'd buy again if needed.
