We got this for when my 86 year old mother comes to stay. It came virtually assembled and all we had to do was put the footplates on and attach the blue rear back pad (velcro and optional). My mum is 5 foot and relatively small so she fits in the chair very easily. I have sat in the chair and I am 6 foot 1 and weigh 19 stone. It was a little small for me in that if I had to sit in it for a length of time the sides would press against my upper thighs and I would need to lower the footplates (there are supplied tools to allow for this adjustment). But its not for me and for my mum its good and for an average person it would be ideal. The back and seat feel very comfortable and my wife was able to move me and tilt me back fairly easily using the foot tilt pads at the rear. My wife is 5 foot 10 so we are both fairly tall people; the handles are at a very comfortable height for us. It folds flat by lifting the seat in the centre and the footplates can be folded in or removed (they just lift in and out). The handles are also easy to fold down to make the chair even smaller and in its folded state should fit in almost any car. It fits in my wifes Suzuki Swift boot. in the standing position an in a Qashqai laying down with room to spare.

This product seems to be well made and sturdy and is light enough for my fairly petite wife to lift in and out of a small hatchback with ease. It runs well, even over less smooth surfaces and is a boon for hospital appointments with moderate distances to cover.The brakes are particularly useful and effective on slopes. It is certainly not oversized for the occupant and my fairly typical 15-stone frame fills the available space.Overall, an excellent product at a very keen price (which I would expect from a Chinese import). As always, buying online from this supplier beats the walk-in price at local mobility shops by a considerable margin.I am a happy customer and recommend the chair subject to my comments above.

I bought this wheelchair based on other reviews.My mother being elderly and frail needed a wheelchair mainly for hospital appointments.The chair arrived well packaged and with clear instructions although it was easy to use without.Very easy to fold and unfold and fits into back of carboot with back seats down. I have a small car.The chair itself is very sturdy and Easy to manoeuvre .It is also extremely comfortable.I bought an cushion pad for the seat, but probably didn't need to.I would highly recommend.

Bought this to take my Mum to places as she's not up to walking short distances and need something lightweight and will fit into the boot - its more a casual use wheelchairYou do need to make a VAT declaration that the person has the appropriate qualifying medical condition to ensure the price is (VAT exempt) - also need to do this in a hurry as it may otherwise compromise the next day delivery - That said its just an email and easy and quick to do - full instructions are sentthe wheelchair arrived next day and I was exceptionally pleased with the build quality of the item - 2 sets of brakes - one on hand grips - and also foot brakes and it feels and looks a quality product but it is only for someone to be pushed in - not self propelledread other reviews on Bolo and bought a cushion separately - which really worked out well and nicely matches the blue wheelchair see this link 66Fit Sitting/Wheelchair Gel Cushion - Blue/White, 40 X 45 X 7 cm - both items paired together get the mum seal of approval for comfortI think it has a maximum weight capacity of 15Kg but as my mum is slightly over half this weight it isnt going to be an issue - I did some internet research and this product seems to be almost double the price in some mobility shops so the Bolo price is amazingall in all a very good deal and very pleased

I recently purchased this wheelchair along with a cushion from Creative Comfort that I purchased at the same time. I needed both for my wife who recently spent a month in hospital with a debilitating back condition. She finds the two together extremely comfortable - particularly welcome when I'm pushing her over bumps in the pathway that she found so troublesome in the past. The chair is fairly light, easy to fold and unfold, good looking and excellent value for money. I would have given it five stars were it not for the fact that one of the footrests will not stay upright on its own which is a bit of a nuisance when getting on or off the chair. However this is a minor problem which I'm sure is fixable (I have yet to seek advice from the manufacturer).

I needed this chair for my husband at short notice and was very pleased that it came overnight at no extra cost. I don't know how the company produces this excellent chair at such a low price. It's easy to set up; well constructed and runs smoothly. It's simple to fold to fit in the boot of a car aided by the handles folding down with a simple click on a lever. I have quite a large boot on my car and there's plenty of space around the folded chair. The folded chair, including the handles in the down position are: height 76cm (30"); length with the foot-rests projecting 90cm (35"). The foot-rests can be fairly easily removed if space is at a premium (they are fixed by a lever-mechanism) and then the length is 60cm (24"). The folded chair is approximately 30cm (12") deep. I can lift the chair in and out of the boot with little difficulty. I tried the folded chair in the boot of a Toyota Auris and found that it is too big, but it did fit in if the two back seats are folded down.The price stated excludes VAT and I got a message from the vendor to give confirmation that the chair was for someone with a disability to qualify for VAT exception. There are a wide variety of conditions that qualify: really anything that makes walking difficult. If you want to take advantage of the free next day delivery, I'd advise ordering early in the day to give time for the vendor to e-mail you and get your reply before 3pm so that you qualify for VAT exemption.
