This is a very good quality Mic EV 86 Replaces my Shure beta 58 I have been working with for Many years. buti can tell the difference to this Ev 86 when your are singing you can tell it got more power to Give when you get closer to it Through a technique called mic control You build up and learn this technique through experience. When singing and performing in different gigs.And showcasesI do believe that Ev has done it work on the new Technology EV Magnet systems development into this new EV 86 MIC , making it a very good quality affordable microphone that's sounds Like a Expensive condenser microphone. I was very surprised and pleased as well with this EV 86 MIC .It's rugged and it's a bit weight about it which I like to and it's gonna last a very long time on the Roadfor busking and show Gigs this is my new Go to MIC the Ev 86 microphone the price was a Winner to. The EV 86 is a quality lead vocalists singing Microphone it has all the Great quality you need when you are on the the stage performing your Tribute show

I bought this mic as it got great reviews and says it has high gain before feedback. I like a loud mic as I hate singing with it up to my mouth, and like to hold it away from my face as I perform a song and facial expressions are important. I haven't had chance to use it yet.Update! I found the sound a little too harsh and bright, and I have a bass smooth voice. So be aware if you have a cutting voice or a very clear voice I don't think this would be the one for you.

Choosing a good mic is a lot more than just star ratings, it must suit your voice. But this is a quality mic, have no doubts. Have an old EV mic from the 80's that has been great so had no heitance ordering this. Sounds great, for my voice, and really good feedback rejection. A quality microphone. The old one is still working great and being used but left it behind in Norway, so needed another here in Scotland where I live now.

We’ve used these in the band for 15 years (actually the old 767 for which this is the updated model) great for live work and noise cancelling, minimal feedback (due to the tight pattern) and really bright and punchy which is great fir live pop and rock.Just bought this to replace my old one which deserved a rest after 15 years use. Still as good and a dpendable workhorse

It's not the same quality as, the EV microphones of past years, well overpriced in my opinion
Sounded good in Practice
I bought this mic because I play a solo and use backing tracks and I use a Digitech Voice Live 3 Harmonizer. I also use a Bose model ll PA and I tend to get a little music bleed through my old mic (Shure beta 58a). Since you have to be real close on the ND96, it should cut the music bleed. In practice, the EV sounds clear and less plosives, which is a good thing. I’ll try it on my next gig and see if there is a noticeable difference. I bought this as a Same Day Delivery. So $209 plus tax. I can try it and see if it was worth it or whether I’ll stick with my old mic

Natürlich gibt es Mikros, die noch mehr kosten, aber darüber denke ich nach, wenn ich Konzerte vor ausverkauften Stadien gebe - also nie...Sowohl bei kleinen Clubabenden vor ein, zwei Squares als auch bei Specials mit vollen Dreifachturnhallen kommt es für Caller darauf an, dass das gesprochene (oder gesungene) Wort verstanden werden kann. Mit dem EV ND96 kann ich das nicht mehr auf das Mikro schieben, das ist nicht schuld. Dann muss ich den Musik/Stimm Mix verändern - oder die Wolldecke aus dem Mund nehmen.Also, liebe Caller-Kolleginnen und Kollegen: wenn ihr ein neues Mikro braucht und zufällig gerade mal um die 200 €uronen übrig habt - hier könnt ihr wirklich nichts falsch machen.

Ha i suoi difetti (ad esempio io lo trovo un po' scuro nella risposta in frequenza), ma con questo microfono sono finalmente riuscito ad eliminare alcuni problemi di feedback che mi affligevano durante i live con microfoni di fascia superiore, data la sua particolare compatibilità con la mia TC Helicon Voice Live III.Sicuramente è un microfono da avere nel proprio arsenale.
