I use this purely for decorative purposes to add a bit of colour to cooked rice without resolving to artificial colours. I wouldn't really consider it as a substitute for other rice just as an additive. It seems to cook fine in my rice cooker with supermarket quality basmati rice. I go for a 6:1 ration but clearly that's just my preference.

The wild rice is really nice which I expect it to be. However, I ordered 2packs of the mixed wild rice and received 1 item wrong which is a pack of millet. Could have been perfect.
