Replacement for a trusted comfortable pen that is used every day, the last one was bought in Singapore in 2012 and has given great service, this one was much cheaper but the same Cross quality, I personally like Cross ballpoint pens (old school) they never leak, smudge and always deliver precise writing. i would have bought the Red model but could not justify the £14.00 uplift just for a change in barrel colour. Great pens and this was a brand new Cross quality item.

Bought as part of Xmas present for my wife, after 3 months it’s useless - the case just opens where the two halves join when button is pressed to use the pen. It’s ok when nib is retracted but as the nib protrudes the case simply falls apart because of the pressure from the spring. This is because the barrel is cheaply made and only friction - not a screw thread holds the two halves together. First Crosse pen I’ve ever bought - and the last! I thought these pens were supposed to be classy!!
