Really like this brand of Wakame. It's packaged in a pouch that protects it from air and moisture, tastes really good. I find that soaking it in cold water for 5 minutes or so, and rinsing it before use is a quick and easy preparation for my soups and other Japanese dishes. It does not have the white traces on the pieces like so many other brands, so I think it might be washed better before drying and packaging. It also does not taste fishy -at least to me anyway.I used to buy it at 'every little helps', but like so many of their customer's favourite things, it's been 'discontinued'.Bolo never lets me down. Never offers limp excuses like 'out of stock', 'unavailable', 'discontinued' or 'here's a substitute (even though it's not the substitute you asked for)'....If you're trying seaweed for the first time, this is a good brand to try.Oh! And seaweed is loaded with trace minerals like iodine, so good for thyroid and parathyroid health :)Dec 23 edit: Bought again and will do so again.

These are the best for adding to ramen or a miso broth, perfect umami taste without being overpowering and being dried you only need a small sprinkle as when it re hydrates there is loads so it lasts ages.
