Very poor quality. I suppose you get what you pay for! The backing is literally thin cardboard so I didn't even bother putting it on. Thankfully I bought the shelves to display comics but I wouldn't trust placing anything heavy on them - and certainly not books. As I was carefully peeling off the parts numbers it ripped off sections of the wood effect finish, and finally, it doesn't fit together very neatly. I definitely wouldn't buy anything from this company again. Sorry!

Ok so firstly this is cheap…. You get what you pay for. Yes the back board is cardboard but it goes together easily and is pretty sturdy when done. Why do people buy cheap stuff and then complain because it isn’t up to expensive standards???? Overall for the price they are good and I bought 2 of them.

I don't normally write reviews about products, but I felt compelled to write about this one. It's probably the worst bit of make believe furniture I've ever purchased. I wanted a cheap bookcase, but I never realised how cheap this was. The boxes I get for my shopping in Aldi are sturdier than this. If you want a cheap book case, pay a bit more and check the reviews first, I had no idea this was part cardboard. Very disapointing, I won't be buying furniture from Bolo again because you can't see it first. Oh and the image is not the packaging, its the tape we had to use to repair the carboard backing as it literally fell apart.

Arrived as described but the instructions were very hard to follow, meaning half of it split open (so I've had to settle for half a bookcase!).

Firstly I’d like to say that for a reasonably priced flat pack book shelf it is quite well constructed and very stable.Unfortunately there are a couple of gripes with it. Firstly is the top of the book shelf is unfinished so it’s just bare chip board, the shelves are 6ft tall but as I’m 6’6” I can see it clearly. Secondly is the backing, it’s made of cardboard. Now I’m not expecting solid oak backing but I would expect at least a hardboard backing. The shelves are for my sons room as he’s an avid reader and has filled two other book shelves up, these other shelves have a finished top and hardboard backing.If it wasn’t for these two cost cutting issues I would’ve recommended it but as they’re there I’d advise that you look at other suppliers.Thanks for reading.

I would have returned this only I couldn’t be bothered with taking it apart and boxing it up again to have by a different on and start over.The black paper coating comes of with the number stickers and it isn’t very stable

I snagged this for a really great price. Its a bit wobbly due to its height and thin wood, but for under $40, I cant complain at all. It holds my boardgames just fine.If they had put a solid back on it, that might have helped with stability.Its not super sturdy but as long as you avoid climbing on it, or overloading it with heavy stuff, it will work fine. I would advide this bookshelf be more for light stuff instead of a bunch of big heavy books. Boardgames or craft supplies would be my recommendation. Maybe to display a few art pieces

As I was carefully peeling off the parts numbers it ripped off sections of the wood effect finish, and finally, it doesn't fit together very neatly. I definitely wouldn't buy anything from this company again. Sorry!
