I AWARD 5 STARS on behalf of my autistic, epileptic 2 n half year old none speaking girl who has had many a problem sleeping at night she as don't like the light being turned on suddenly and is not that keen on total darkness so we got these after haveing used many other brands for use at night the plan was crack one when she goes to bed and use that to find the dummy, put her sheet back on, find teddy etc however she sleeps almost all night every night with one in her hand and when she does loose the dummy she can find it with her stick, i know most will think they not good parent's give'in her them in bed and you may be right however i do remove the string that they come with and cut the hook of them have a good look for any leaks as some of the other brands are weak and split to easy however these are very well made, id recomend for any age that don't put hings in there mouth but remove the string unless older and they use'in as a neckalace. i'm about to place my order for another box (againe).

Maybe great for parties but AMAZING for bath time with the kids.Easy to snap and activate.I used them in the bath and the little terrors loved them… so much so I had to top up the bath with hot water and buy some more. Great way to end the day before a story.I can’t fault this product and will continue to purchase them.

**SCROLL DOWN FOR THE UPDATE**First things first. This is a very early review based on my first impressions of this product, and will be updated over the next couple of days.So, the one thing about this product that I wanted to know and couldn't see detailed anywhere, was how 50 glow sticks would be divided into relatively even quantities of each colour.Short answer is, they are not. Inside the box is two bags of 25 individually wrapped sticks. They make up the following total quantities:8x Pink8x Green8x Yellow6x White6x Blue4x Purple4x Red4x Orange2x Aqua (light blue)This gives you 50 sticks in total. Why they have been divided into such quantities I have no idea, unless they reflect popularity between different colours, with pink, green and yellow being most popular, and aqua being the least popular. Still a full selection in any case, and good quantities of each "useful" colour.Now the important bit: Performance. I did read a number of reviews saying these sticks were not bright at all and that they only glowed for a few hours. The important thing to remember here is that these glow sticks are "entertainment grade" sticks. Not industrial/military/emergency service grade. They are also not marketed as a "high intensity" product. They are primarily for entertainment and leisure purposes.With this in mind, let's look at performance so far.Choosing one of the larger quantities as my test subject, I activated a green one as soon as it got dark this evening. I chose green as this is generally the brightest colour when it comes to glow sticks.As with any glow stick, the point of activation will be the time when the glow is most intense, and these ones are no different. Over the course of the next 5 - 10 minutes, the intensity is reduced slightly. Only slightly though. This is where the intensity level seems to sit. Not sure for how long yet though. It's only been glowing for 4 hours so far, but the light output has been consistent during this time.In a pitch black room, the light output is certainly enough to find your way around. Ideal if you experience a power cut in the middle of the night, and far safer than candles or lanterns. Put it on your desk, and you'll have plenty of light to read and write by. It's worth noting that yellow is the best glow stick for reading, due to the science of wavelengths!Each glow stick is sealed in a foil packet. While this might seem wasteful, the wrapper actually protects the fluid in the glow stick from UV rays and strong light, which would reduce the performance of the glow stick before it's even been activated.Each glow stick also has a stretchy lanyard wrapped around it. Great for hanging them up in a room or wearing them around your neck at a party. The lanyard is easily removed if not required.Lastly, the overall quality of the glow stick is very good. They contain non-toxic fluids, and the stick itself is made from a high quality plastic which, while flexible enough to be easily activated, will be more than capable of taking some punishment. Obviously this should be kept to a minimum though!I bought these so I could keep some tucked away for emergencies, and keep a few in the car for the same reason. While they might not beat the power of a torch for lighting up a dark country road, they will be more than useful as safety markers.***UPDATE***So since my initial review a couple of days ago, i've had more time to test the product, and i've deducted a star from my original rating. The reason for this is that clearly some colours glow longer than others. That in itself isn't a problem, but when I activated a pink one for example, it was totally dead just 6 hours later, so the 5th star was deducted because this glow stick didn't glow for anywhere near the claimed 12 hours. The pink was brightest at the point of activation, but dimmed quite a bit within a few minutes, then became noticeably dimmer over a few hours.On the other hand, I activated a green glow stick (the one on which my original review was based) and it's still glowing 48 hours later! There's not really much in the way of "usable" light from it now, but it's still glowing brighter than it should be after two days, and I can just about use it to read with in a pitch black room.As I said originally, if you're considering buying these for a party or firework night, then you won't be disappointed. Clearly not all the colours will glow for a minimum of 12 hours, but you will still get several hours out of them.One final point: This box of 50 sticks is shown on Bolo with a RRP of £39.99, but a "sale" price of just £23.99. If you look at the supplier's website directly, you will see you can get a box of 50 mixed colour 6 inch glow sticks for £23.50 anyway, so don't be duped by the pricing claims.All in all, i'm still pleased with this product, and I would certainly buy them again!

These glow sticks are fantastic. They are very chunky and give off a great amount of light for up to 12 hours. We have used them for lots of things so far such as camping, festivals and whilst walking at night to a local fireworks exhibition. My son loves to have one of these in the bath, they are very thick and I have no concerns about them leaking (although always best to keep an eye on them just incase). They really are great value, they will last us a long time and are very handy in case of emergency blackouts!

Pack of 10 makes it perfect for a cosmic bowling birthday party. Comes with black plastic twine in pre-cut lengths.... just knot it lower for younger kids. Great choice of colours....loved the pale aqua colour best but only one in the pack so had to give it to the birthday girl! From memory I think the colours supplied were: 1 purple, 1 aqua, 1 blue, 1 orange, 1 white, 1 red, 2 green, 1 yellow, 1 pink. All snapped and glowed brightly all night (some were still faintly glowing the next day) and none leaked. Would recommend.

These were purchased as gifts for the pupils at our local village primary school.Have not dealt with this company previously but site was easy to scroll through. Great choice of products and prices are compatible with other companies. Arrived ahead of delivery date in strong sturdy box. The wee ones were very excited with them and voted them a great success.Will be happy to deal with this company again.Anne

Easy to use, nice selection of colours. Lifespan is nowhere near as long as stated! Snapped 4 and within half and hour they had noticeably dimmed! Snapped 2 more and the difference was remarkable. They're ok just don't expect them to last 12 hours or stay bright.

A cumplido con el plazo de entrega, dentro de la caja estaban todos y de distintos colores.Cada barra luminosa viene en su paquete individual, los compré para cuando se vaya la luz en casa, supongo que iluminar mucho no, pero para marcar sitos funcionara bien como las escaleras o las puertas.Si buscas algo que ilumine mucho mejor una linterna pero para marcar sitios funciona bien.Otras utilidades que puedes dar ( aunque sea enrevesado ) andar por la noche y colocar la barra en una mochila, al arnés del perro, en una bici etc
