My back patio door lock failed (luckily with it open), I tried to find this style locally at B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation and a few hardware stores to no luck, it was in stock here and delivered the next day (Sunday).It fitted with no issue and has worked great since installation.

The patio doors on a house I bought were already earmarked for replacement however the lock decided it couldn't wait any longer and disintegrated internally, leaving me with a door that would neither latch nor lock. If, like me, you've never fitted or replaced a multi-point system then they can appear incredibly complex and daunting. They're not really and a few minutes on youtube to familiarise oneself with backsets, centres, deadbolts and single/double lever systems will help guide you on your way. You will need to identify which type/size casing your door requires and that means removing the existing one. Handles and barrel lock need to come off and that will then allow the multipoint to slide out - once you have removed (almost) all the screws securing it to the recess in the door's edge. I say 'almost' because there are two screws securing the casement to the multipoint and it's a lot easier to coax the casement out if it's still secured by those two screws. Once out, it was a case of checking some measurements to determine the backset and spacing and then look for something matching this spec. Mine had chamfered edges so I played safe and bought one to match. Once the replacement arrived, it was a simple enough task to remove the last two screws, swap the casements over and reinstall. Took next to no time and longest part was remembering in which 'safe place' I'd stashed the rest of the screws needed to secure the multipoint back in the recess. Worked perfectly first time and now the door is a lot easier to open, lock and unlock. Will still need replacing but in the meantime it is at least secure again!

I have been lucky. It did fit properly to my door but... there was a sticker on it and said left side only. And there is no instruction how to convert it to make it right hand if that's possible.

A perfect replacement for a MILA MI-011 backset which was >15 years old and had a broken cam. These things are fiddly to fit because of the length of the rail they attach to, but a pair of saw horses solves this problem. Good quality, reassuringly heavy and fast delivery. Spot on!
