Nutritional yeast is a staple ingredient in our diet. Be it for cooking or just a drink.The product itself tastes very good. Earthier flavour than Engevita brand, not too salty and a nice smell.It is suposedly enriched with B12 but we do take extra B12 on the side. It is cheaper to buy in bulks than small 300grams containers.Now rant about delivery and the packaging.It took three attempts to receive non damaged item. Third time lucky :) The first two deliveries were just horrible. One parcel thrown over the fence. Second left in-front of the house in the rain. But the worst is the packaging iself. Paper bag broke twice and yeast was scattered all over the box. Since this happened in COVID19 pandemic it was not safe to consume. After two individual complaints the Bolo arranged 3rd delivery. This time the package arrived safely. However we still believe the packaging needs improving. Bag splits at the seams and not enough protection for drivers to play sports with it.

This 2Kg bag of Yeast Flakes arrived within two days of ordering, and I live outside the UK. There is nothing excessive in the packaging, which is biodegradable, once the two small labels are removed. I can eventually add it to my compost bin.I have repurposed an empty plastic food container that can fit in my cupboard and gives easy access to some of the flakes, storing the rest in a cool, dry place, to be used as a refill for the next few months-the sell buy date is October next year.The flakes are a lovely golden colour and are big and tangy in tantalising taste.One attraction for me, on an animal product free diet, was the B12 provided in the flakes. The bag does state that they contain B12 but it would be good to give some indication of the amount (e.g. per 100 g) so I could estimate how much of my weekly dose of B12 could be provided by them.I like that this company deals only with wholefoods-it strikes me that there is an ethical basis beyond just business.
