The media could not be loaded. I have been using this in my cellar to re-point between flagstones and gaps in the brick walls before slurry tanking. I read various reviews about some people having problems getting the right consistency of mortar for the gun to eject the mortar. I first tried mixing the mortar using Kiln Dried Sand as someone recommended; this just resulted the gun squeezing the water out of the mixture and the nozzle blocking up as it was then too dry!I found that my usual mix of 3 : 1 of normal building sand to Portland cement and mixed in with Everbuild Liquid Water-proofer and water worked fine. (This seems to be the recommended ratio for mortar below the damp proof coarse; I haven't tried the gun at the normal 4 : 1 for above the DPC.) The water-proofer is a partial plasticizer as well, not sure is makes a difference to the operation of the gun.I have made a video of the mortar mix that I found worked with this gun, you can see the consistency I used - sloppy, but still falling off the trowel with some shape to it. The mortar came out of the gun quite readily, but only as it was pressed out, so it was easy to control. (Yes, I am a DIY'er not a professional...!)Loading without a specially rounded trowel was still fairly easy, you can just push a lump of mortar in and then in one shake makes it drop to the bottom. (Bit messy though!)As others have said, the instructions are not very good; confusing repetitions of steps and inconsistent part descriptions - not quite as bad as those awful Chinese-product instructions, but it's best to read some other guides or just work it out for yourself thoroughly before starting.Good mortar gun, and after some experimentation and practise, does save time and mess.

Great device to use. There are some great you tube videos on this. Like other reviews I used their advice and went for the 4-1 mix (builders sand and Portland cement) with some plasticiser and yes make sure the mix is kind of sloppy! I made a funnel out of a plastic comfort bottle to get the mix into the device. Comes out very easily without any blockages and fills the gaps perfectly without mess. Only towards the end the mix compresses the water out and then the mix goes solid, so unscrew the end, take out the solid chunk with your fingers and recycle back to the mix and then refill. Easy! Good advice to have a bucket of water at hand so you can dip the end cap in to get rid of the residue as sometimes the cap can be hard to screw on due to the grit in the thread. The whole suit is really robust and you get spare ends too. So overall really pleased with this and saved me a lot of mess for a little cost.

used for grouting a patio with 5mm joints, well i tried to but with this thing it was impossible, first attempt the grout just passed from one side of the plunger to the other and only a small amount got through the nozzle. by the time i stripped it down and tried to clean the cartridge the grout had started to set, first attempt rubbish and lost all the grout at some expense. Second attempt next day after spending forever trying to clean the thing out and by the way the mix was nice and smooth no lumps whatsoever (perfect) I changed the pluger and refilled with the perfectly mixed smooth grout. First 30 seconds wow fantastic and then the trigger got harder to pull, after 1 min the thing was impossible to squeeze it was solid, I tried to unscrew the thing to see the problem but no matter how hard I tried it was stuck and could not undo, my neighbour tried and he is a big strong man but no chance it was stuck fast and impossible to get into. the thing was still full of grout and i had more mixed in a bucket, I used the stuff left in the bucket using the old trusted method and finally got some grouting done. as for the cartridge gun and the contents I launched it down the garden over the hedge and hopefully i will never see the thing again.

But of a pain to uses as it needs to be a we're wet mix i also found using some kiln dried sand in the mix helped. Used it quiet a lot now and certainly speeds the job up once you get your mix right!

Great product - I had fitted a double glazed back door which had lots of gaps between the bricks and the frame (some quite narrow gaps but deep). I’d read a few of the reviews so I was a bit cautious if this was going to be a good tool, particularly some comments about water being squeezed out of mortar etc. I decided I would try just half filling the tube each time and I have to say this worked brilliantly. Yes a couple of times it did block up but this happened when I had filled the tube about 3/4 full rather than 1/2 full - very simple to rectify, take the nozzle end off and squeeze the trigger to eject the blockage, refill half way and go again!I used this for doing vertical sides and horizontal across the door frame top - this was repeated on both sides of the door. The cement was ‘injected’ deep into the gaps, far deeper than I could have managed with a finger or trowl.Finally, I had some cement left over so I used it to fill a few gaps in my patio mortar - it did this really well.So - you’ll see some negative reviews on here, and granted I’m not a professional tradesman, but more of a hap hazard / semi useful DIYer - however this roughneck product felt very well made and did exactly what I needed it for, brilliantly. Don’t be greedy, if it squeezes out too much water and then blocks you’ve probably overfilled it for the mix your using so just empty it and out a bit less in next time.

De Roughneck 32150 lijkt erg op een gewoon 600 ml semi professioneel handkitspuit / kitpistool. Waar dat is die niet: de trapezevormige schroefdraad maakt met 2 à 3 slagen verwisselen van de inhoud en plaats van 17 slagen met andere handkitspuiten. Dat werkt echt sneller. Ook omdat ik met lijnolie stopverf de buis hooguit voor één derde deel vul, dus iets vaker bijvul.Nadeel is dat alleen de ontspanknop gedoopt is in rubber, het handvat en trekker zijn niet gedoopt in rubber. Dit voelt koud aan in het winterseizoen.Jammer is dat reserve spuitmonden en zuigers (32-152) lastig te vinden zijn, en dat de zwarte spuitmonden niet als Roughneck artikel bestaan.Gebrekkig is de handleiding: je moet eerst het zwarte deel zonder de spuitmond in de metalen schroefdop zetten, en pas daarna de spuitmond er op schroeven.Overigens met de gemonteerde rubber ring, kun je met een standaard worsten tuit 120mm lekvrij spuiten. De meegeleverde witte tuiten hebben een afwijkende conische afdichting, zodat die tuiten zonder ring niet lekken.Jammer is dat de meegeleverde tuiten niet voorzien zijn van afdekkappen of doppen. Schoonmaken is echt veel werk, dus dat wil je niet iedere avond doen.

Mycket bra byggkvalitet. Köpte den för att fylla fogarna i muren med cement, har dock inte hunnit testa det. Har mest använt den till fogmassa. Har funkat fint.Uppdatering efter ett par års användning. Har testat alla varianter utom korv.Lagar fogarna på en relativt stor mur med cement, gick som en dans. Använt vanliga patroner med fönsterkitt, latexfog, lim.Detta är ett fantastiskt verktyg som jag skulle köpa igen och igen. Uppdaterar betyget från 4 till 5 stjärnor.

Para rellenar los huecos que quedan al empotrar cajas de registro en paredes de bloque hueco va de lujo. No se como he podido vivir sin ella, facilita la tarea una barbaridad, y no deja ni un hueco vacio. Rellenava tope. La unica precaución que hay que tener es que la mezcla vaya líquida, algo mas que el cemento cola, o similar. La masa pasa sin problemas por la cánula.Despues de usarla se limpia con agua y un cepillo de dientes, y el cuerpo cilindrico con un cepillo de esos para biberones. Es todo de aluminio, excepto las puntas que son de plástico grueso y duro. Todo da sensación de muchísima calidad. La volvería a comprar sin duda, quizá le añadiria alguna "cuchara" o algo para rellenar la pistola y que sea mas fácil.

The media could not be loaded. We ordered a couple of different units from multiple providers to see which would work the best. The bucket type units that hook onto a drill were pretty much useless, but this gun worked the best of the ones we tried out, and no drill is required. It was surprisingly quick too.You still only get about 2/3 of the grout to exit the device, while the last 1/3 almost always gums up and needs to be flushed and refilled. This is due to most of the water getting pushed out by the time it reaches this point.The tips wear out pretty quick. I wouldn't order it unless you had access to purchasing multiple replacement tips...otherwise expect the tip you are using to wear out after a single job. There is only 1 of each type of tip that comes with it. We had to cut a few of the smaller tips to make them useable when our first larger tip wore out. I haven't been successful in finding replacement tips online as of yet.It will still be messy and need to have something to catch excess grout below your work area. The device should be cleaned immediately after use.I was disappointed to have to pay an amost $30 tax/duty charge upon being delivered to me door. They should make mention of this possibility or have it covered prior to ordering.
