Reduce to a rolling simmer for approx. 10 minutes or until rice is tender. Drain water, cover and leave to stand for 3 minutes, then lightly fork through the grains and serve. Cooking appliances vary and these instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the rice is piping hot throughout before serving. Do not reheat. I tend to keep 30+ kilos in my store cupboard as rice is a critical staple to always have in.As my video, this is how I cook rice.*Put rice in a BIG SAUCEPAN. (5-7 LITRES ish)*Rinse rice in cold water. Fill to top, drain by pouring most out. Repeat a few times. (if you're into water conservation, skip rinsing. Zen Masters, rinse 10 times. )*fill saucepan approximately 2 inches from top with COLD water*Add X2 teaspoon salt*Lid on, bring rice to a rapid boil, catch the boiling point, don't let it over boil. 😉*AS soon as rapid boil arrives, stir once, TURN HEAT OFF. Put lid back on, time x4 minutes*Drain rice immediately in colander. Put lid on colander. The steam from drained rice finishes the rice & helps separate grains. I let it rest after draining for 15 to 20 minutes. So it's an easy, relaxing way to do rice. ✔️Make it in advance if you want, if big cooking event for family etc. Reheats in microwave lovely.You can see in my video we have perfectly acceptable grain separation. 👍🏻But stick to the method & timings. ✔️( pic = Chile con carne & rice. When my Step-daughter calls around, I send her off typically with x8 tubs of Chile for freezer. She returns tubs for chef to refil! This will be her rice now! That's why I cook lots of rice. ) 😀I'll freeze cooked leftovers in portions as it stir fries from frozen wonderfully. Egg fried rice in less than X3 minutes. Excellent quality rice - actually one of the best I have come across. One extremely happy (and impressed) customer.I followed the instructions (only 10 mins cooking time) - and it came out perfectly - fluffy, easily separating, good grain length and extremely nice tasting rice. I am so glad I initially ordered 20kg - will be ordering more for storage and one for my son. I very rarely write reviews - but this rice deserves it.
