I used it for the first cut of the season and the garden was a bit like Jurassic park (without the dinosaurs) in other words the grass was long. I put it on the highest cut settings and it made light work of the tall grass which was around 6 inches in places.The viewing window in the grass box lets you see how full it is, but I just kept going until I had finished the lawn (which was damp in the very tall grass). This mower took it all in it's stride. I was able to complete 3 fair size lawns in super quick time.I have tried a number of other brands since owning the first Flymo's many years ago, but having used this one I think I will stick with them in the future.The only negative is the cable is short at 12m. One lawn is double that, while the other is 1.5 times that, with the 3rd being smaller but much further away from an electrical outlet so I needed to use a long extension cable, but the disadvantage of the cable is smaller than the disadvantage of using a battery operated mower!I got this mower in the spring deal, but to be honest, I would have been happy with it had I paid full price! Great mower and I can highly recommend it!

I never write reviews but wanted to note the durability of this lawnmower. I stupidly left it outside in heavy rain (not recommended!) accidentally. After allowing it to dry out it still works perfectly! A testament to the build quality. It's lightweight, easy to carry, folds down to store and the bucket is a decent size which holds a lot of grass. Decent power on the unit too and the blade that comes fitted does the job. The height variations are great as there are a few to choose from. Easy to move about, even in tight spots. Couldn't recommend enough!

I had the old model of this mower and it lasted 7 years. The best I’d ever had. This newer model is even better.!! Really light to move and cuts the grass like butter. Easy to assemble and put away after use. The only problem I had was the handle on the grass box. It came damaged so can’t use it. I have to lift the hole box up by hand to empty it. Which gets really heavy. I saw in the reviews a lot of people had the same problem so I think flymo need to sort that but I will never use another brand. The mower itself is brilliant just a shame about that 1 problem which is the reason for my 4 stars otherwise I would have gave 5…. It doesn’t put me off buying again and I will be doing …

This is a robust little mower, easily assembled and easy to use. I dispute the words in the description which say it's for medium to large lawns, as the cut is only 14 inches wide and the box filed twice on my 20ft by 7ft lawn. Depends what you call medium to large, I suppose! However, it is strong and makes a neat cut. The cable is a nuisance, of course, but the saving against a battery version is immense and I only use it for one small lawn, which takes me 10 minutes. Spot on for my requirements

I wasn’t expecting much from this little mower but it’s lighweight, relatively inexpensive, frighteningly easy to put together and had no problem whatsoever working it’s way through 5 inches of soggy Scottish grass on a slope.
