There isn't a huge amount to say about this beyond the fact that it does what it says! It provides a short but fascinating activity to determine if you (and/or your friends and family) have the ability to taste themselves chemicals. You get loads of test strips, so you can share the experience with others.The best part about this product is the vindication you get after a lifetime of people not believing you when you tell them that certain foods and drinks have a horribly bitter taste to them.

Previously tried this brand at Queen Mary which was reliable so bought it for myself from here which has the complete set to try.

If you are teaching genetics. An easy and nice activity to do in a science classroom or home schooling group.
Fun taste experiment!
I bought these for a class experiment. I cut them in half and doubled the number of strips.They were effective though probably best for kids over 15. I had a lot of kids (10-12 year old) with sensory issues and the strong taste turned many of them off the "Supertaster" Experiment. There are many YouTube videos that can be used to set up the experience.

Excellent - Better than the other kits
Each tube has 100 strips and I have over a hundred students. I cut the strips so I can get 5 blocks from 1 strip, that way the strips can last longer and I have students who want to try to taste it again.PTC - bitter, or nothingThiourea - bitter, sweet, or nothingSodium Benzoate - bitter, sweet, salty, or nothingThe thiourea can be so bitter, it can set kids off gagging. However, for students that try it and it tastes sweet/sour, they describe it like sour patch kids. I usually reserve this strip for my more adventurous students. I personally cannot taste it.
