These are great little cool packs, can't complain.Great value for money, and very effective.As some others have said, it is difficult to get the inner bag to burst and trigger the reaction that creates the coldness. Twisting just doesn't seem to work for me. I wouldn't stamp on it like one person said though - just squash it with your foot, that should do it.The instructions say wrap the cool pack in a cloth, but I just don't see that working myself. So I'm unsure about that bit. I just applied it straight onto the skin - the pack says you can get a freeze burn from that. So, I'm confused about that bit.

These are ideal, a mum to 2 young boys it is very handy to have these on my changing bag. Particularly as my youngest bumps or bangs something once a week atm.

Children are akwaysxrunninvcihto each other, vanging their heads. These instant ice packs,can be used immediately by shaking, & placing on a bumped head to prevent swelling in minor injuries

Bought one of these a few months back because it was small (which it is, would fit in a descent sized pocket) and would fit in my bag of bits I keep when out with my 3 year old (I like to be preppered). It's been in there ever since.Yesterday I had to use it. He ran and fell head first into his buggy with the bridge of his nose meeting the edge of the footrest on his buggy. Ouch right! I got the ice pack out, squeezed, it popped and a few shakes it was ice cold. I put it on his not so little bump and although he wasn't happy about it it certainly helped. Probably lasted about 10 mins in total but it is only small. Did the job though and because it's now tried and tested I'm going to buy a few more!
