How does a home ovulation test work?
When a woman is about to ovulate, her body releases a large amount of a hormone called L.H. (Luteinising Hormone). L.H. is always present in your urine but the levels increase (surge) in the middle of your cycle, causing you to release an egg from the ovary, this process is called ovulation.
If the L.H. surge is present, ovulation is likely to occur in the next 24 to 48 hours.
These ovulation tests detect the L.H. surge by measuring the amount of L.H. in urine.

Indications
1.Do not use first morning urine samples as LH is synthesized in your body early in the morning. It will not show up in your urine until later in the day.....2.The best time to collect your urine is between 10am - 8pm. Pick a regular time that suits you best.....3.Collect urine at about the same time each day.....Reduce liquid intake about 2 hours before collecting your urine as a diluted urine sample can prevent the test from detecting LH surge.

Did exactly what you expect. For us the positive ovulation result was in line with an iphone app we are using.For the price you are really getting a great value here - the thermometer comes with a solid cover to put it in, the 30 tests will take you quite a way, we are still on this package after three months.Make sure you put the thermometer under the tongue, that is the recommended way.The tests itself are super self explanatory, you can't really do it wrong. The results are clear to see (we always got a positive at some point in the cycle, so the accuracy for us was a 100% so far), one line negative, two lines positive.

WOW! What a great little piece of kit! Arrived in good time, everything correct. The thermometer works great, much more accurate than my standard thermometer I’d been using from my medicine drawer which makes tracking much easier. The OPK’s work great, clear strong lines & the dye runs really quickly leaving very accurate results! Only slight negative is the beeping on the thermometer is a bit excessive when reading comes through. Extremely happy with this product, would recommend!

I've been using this thermometer for almost 3 months now. It takes about 30 seconds - 1 minute to read your temperature, and lets you know when it is safe to remove with a series of beeps. It has a memory function, but it only holds the very last temperature you recorded. My one complaint is that as the thermometer is to be used first thing in the morning before you get out of bed, it can be VERY hard to read the screen as there is no backlight. For the price, it is a great product, but if you're going to be recording your BBT for a long period of time, I would invest in a more expensive model with a backlight.

Lovely, compact oral basal thermometer, comes with instructions and plastic case. Measures to two decimal points and beeps when the temperature is taken making it easy to know when it's ready. Ovulation strips great too, each is individually sealed with damp protection inside and clear instructions on each packet.

Don't waste your money! This is the second one of these I have bought, the first didnt even last 3 months, as soon as I turned it on it showed low battery so I put a new one in and it still showed low battery and the beeps only worked randomly, it then showed err on the display about 10 weeks in so I binned it and bought another, lo & behold this one is exactly the same... The ovulation tests do seem to be very good

Takes your temperature quickly but it beeps very loudly several times when it's finished. The loud beeping is unnecessary and stopped me using it as it wakes up husband. You are supposed to use it first thing in the morning before you get out of bed so a quiet option would be better.
