The media could not be loaded. I used this mask whist cutting insulation board and some treated wood whilst insulating out a garage workshop . It was during some of the hottest weather of the year and the mask provided me with good protection without causing too much discomfort. Only issue I had was the steaming up of the goggles when wearing with reading glasses underneath . However I think this was more of an issue with the goggles than the mask.I found that when I used the measurements guide I came up as border small however the small was not an available so took a chance on the medium . I do have a very flat nose bridge which is something to take into consideration and I feel it does affect the seal but only slightly. Thats my only grumble really . Otherwise Im very very happy with the quality , fit and wearability of it . It was worn for a long time over a period of a feed days and didn’t irritate my face anywhere.One good feature I did like and though was worth a mention is the silicone like band with raised texted on the strap that goes on the back of the head , it makes such a difference in keeping to straps in situ .

I am a carpenter and use this dust mask for a number of jobs in the workshop where fine airborne dust is a problem, such as sanding, sawing and routing. I have a ducted dust extraction system in my shop but there is always that dangerous fine airborne dust to deal with. I have tried several masks with replaceable filters and this is by far the most comfortable and offers me a good experience, when I am wearing it with safety glasses and ear defenders. It does not cause my safety glasses to mist up, a problem with many other masks and is comfortable to wear for long periods. The two straps one over the head that sits on your neck and the other over your head, or cap is adjustable and does not cause any problems. The mask provides a good flow of cool air. It is easy to change the filters. It offers excellent protection when emptying the dust and chip extractor as each time dust is moved it releases airborne particles, no matter how careful one is. My partner borrowed my mask one time she was emptying the wood burner of ash, previously using the white proprietary dust decorating masks and liked it so much I bought one for her too. So we like these a lot and can recommend them to other users.

I first bought one of these during lockdown as both my partner and her 90 year old mum were having to shield. The mask fits so well that you test it by holding your hand over the exhaust point and breath out - it's so well sealed that the air can't get out! Bought a replacement recently as I had a loft to insulate and this not only kept my throat and lungs clear but also allowed me to wear my glasses without them steaming up

Quite soft and lightweight.The only issue seems at first to be the heavy rubber smell. Maybe it will go away with time.

Fantastic lightweight & compact mask. Doesn't obscure your vision and - compared to other respirators, isn't going to get knocked if you're turning your head in tight or confined spaces.Glass wearers : This is also the first mask that I've come across (not that I've tried all of them out there!) that provides a really good seal around the nose and doesn't fog up your glasses when you breathe out.If you're drilling, cutting, sanding or mixing then this respirator is perfect for keeping out even the finest dust and powder particles that you'll likely come across.However, please note that this respirator is ONLY for dust/powder particles. It does NOT keep out vapours or odours of any kind. So, if you're paint spraying, near fumes or just simply work with a colleague who suffers from a flatulence problem, then you'll need the SPR503, SPR491 or SPR496 for vapours and gases.As mentioned, this mask provides a really good seal, but make sure you're aware of the two sizes available : Small/Medium or Medium/Large.Unlike another reviewer's review, the diameter of your head is irrelevant to the size of mask you'll need (that's what the adjustable straps are for). The key measurement for choosing your correct size is the distance from the bridge of your nose to the point of your chin [check the size chart in the description above].Having said that, my nose to chin measurement is 120mm - as per the chart, I bought the S/M size but found it too small as my chin would pop out whenever I mimed to a song on the radio or secretly poked my tongue out at people.The two different size masks differ by approx 10mm in height and 10mm in width.The Medium/Large has a slightly different seal design around the chin area - with a hard rubber crease (actually less snug than the S/M which has a soft curve seal along the chin) but is a far better fit for me overall.Recommended.

I used this in my woodwork workshop. It works much better than disposable masks. More dust is caught and the mask fits my face better. The filters are replaceable. It also works much better at not steaming up my glasses, probably as a result of the better seal

Having reviewed several masks I went for this because one reviewer mentioned that it didn’t steam up their glasses. I have found the same.My only criticism is not necessarily the fault of the mask. I have a prominent bridge and as a result the mask presses against it. It is mildly uncomfortable. However I have worn this mask for 3 hours straight as I’m currently building a wardrobe. Most wood cutting is happening in there to so the atmosphere is quite dusty.Although you can not see the partials. When I took the mask off to see what effect it was having I could taste the dust when I was talking.Brilliant little mask. Head harness is comfortable and easily worn with ear defenders and a pull down face guard.

La compré para que la use mi padre que es soldador y está encantado. Así a simple vista es grande y aparatosa pero cumple muy bien su función que es lo importante. Vienen los filtros a los lados que hace que no se respire la toxicidad. Y cuando te acostumbras a ella es cómoda.

Die ideale Schutzmaske für Schweißarbeiten

Ich habe lange nach einer guten Schutzmaske für Schweißarbeiten gesucht. Die Maske muss hierfür zuverlässig filtern und gleichzeitig sehr kompakt sein, um unter den Schweißhelm zu passen und beim Arbeiten nicht zu stören. Beides erfüllt die Elipse SPR501 perfekt.Die Maske sitzt sehr sicher und dichtet gut ab. Hier kommt keine Luft an den Maskenrändern vorbei, wie das häufig bei normalen Papiermasken der Fall ist. Die Filterfunktion ist also deutlich besser als bei den typischen Einwegmasken. Gleichzeitig wird die Atmung beim Tragen kaum behindert, was durch die beiden relativ großflächigen Filter erreicht wird. Für Brillenträger ist die Maske vor allem ideal, da durch das Auslassventil verhindert wird, dass die Brille beschlägt. Wer schon mal eine Einwegmaske in Verbindung mit einer Brille verwendet hat, der kann hiervon ein Lied singen.Die Form der Maske passt hervorragend, so dass sie sauber auf dem Gesicht sitzt und nicht drückt. Die breiten Bänder gewährleisten einen sicheren Halt und verteilen gleichzeitig den Druck sauber auf dem Hinterkopf, so dass hier auch bei längerer Benutzung keine Probleme entstehen.Dank der extrem kompakten Form passt die Maske auch sehr gut unter den Schweißhelm und stört hier kaum mehr als eine klassische Einwegmaske. Ich habe bislang keine andere Maske gefunden, die besser unter einen Schweißhelm passt (Einwegmasken ausgenommen).Auch wenn die Maske aus Kunststoff ist, riecht sie nur sehr leicht nach Chemie. Der Geruch ist nach ein paar Tagen auch nahezu komplett verflogen. Beim Tragen hat man also keine größeren Probleme durch chemische Gerüche.Erfreulich ist auch, dass die Maske über saubere Kennzeichnungen (CE, EN, usw) verfügt. Hier hat man das gute Gefühl, dass das Produkt auch die nötigen Standards erfüllt.Achtung: Was jeder beachten sollte ist, dass die Maske standardmäßig mit P3 Filtern, also Partikelfiltern, ausgestattet ist. Wer die Maske zum Schweißen verwendet muss sich also bewusst sein, dass hier zwar der Ruß aus dem Schweißrauch gefiltert wird, nicht aber die giftigen Dämpfe, die vor allem beim Elektrode- oder Fülldrahtschweißen entstehen. Wer diese beiden Schweißverfahren nutzt für den gilt weiterhin die goldene Regel, entweder im Freien schweißen oder eine Absaugung nutzen. Nur diese Maske reicht bei Elektrode oder Fülldraht definitiv nicht.Fazit: Kompakt, funktional und bequem, die ideale Maske zum Schweißen. Ganz klare Empfehlung.
