  • Size and Measurements: Our rolls of green grass protection mats are available in two thickness grades to suit different requirements, a 430gsm and 660gsm mesh. Both are available in roll sizes of: 1m x 10m, 2m x 10m & 2m x 30m. This rubber matting roll provides protection for your lawns, pedestrian grassed walkways, grass paths, small dog runs or grassed play areas.
  • Material & Features: Our TR outdoor rubber matting has been specially designed, using carefully selected high-density plastics to allow for permanent trafficking of pedestrians, wheelchairs or bikes to grassed areas where this would not normally be considered. The non-slip matting mesh features a slip resistant surface, and its green colour allows it to seamlessly blend into the grass area, making it ideal for use as outdoor rubber mats and anti-slip matting for both domestic and public areas.
  • Applications: The 430gsm TR3 is primarily used for grass areas, lawn reinforcement, as outdoor mats for garden, grass reinforcement mesh, protection against free range chickens pecking the ground and small dog runs/play areas on grass. The heavier 660gsm TR4 is frequently used on pedestrian grassed walkways/areas, wheelchair grassed access paths, large dog runs or pet play areas and play areas under swings and around climbing frames, they are brilliant as mud control mats.
  • Easy to Install: For quick and easy installation, pair the TR Mesh with our Steel U Pins to secure it into place (turf pins sold separately, however each roll size has the option to come with the required amount of Steel U Pins for installation). Please, allow sufficient time for the grass to grow through the mesh and take hold. The strength and longevity of the reinforced grassed area also depend on ground conditions.

    The Turf Reinforcement Mesh visually disappears once the grass grows through and helps to provide a protective layer which reduces grass wear, rutting and damage. The mesh works by intertwining roots of the grass, spreading weight loads and creating a stronger base.

    Overview of Installation:

    • Prior to installation, the grass needs to be cut short to ensure the plastic mesh lays tightly against the ground for the swiftest entanglement of grass roots and mesh
    • Unroll the mesh and let it relax for an hour to reduce any undulations in the mesh
    • The pins are best placed at 300mm along the edges of the rolls and 600mm through the centre. On the edge, the pins can either pin across to the next roll or along the rim when laying a trackway
    • When installing the rolls next to each other or in a row, the edges of the adjacent rolls should be overlapped by 100mm. Pin through the mesh at the overlap so each rolls is joined to each other
