Is fairly good, I'm not an expert on chili powders but do eat and make alot of spicy food.Since using this smokey chili powder many of my friends have commented on how nice my spicy beef is.Adds a delicate smokey flavour to chili's and chili con carne's. Also lovely added to fajitas or spicy beef wraps.5 stars for sure.

The only thing that made me consider giving it only 4 stars was the lack of a written warning that said "For heavens sake don't use too much first time'. It has some serious bite. I expected it to be much softer, not sure why. I used a level teaspoon in about a litre of sauce which was a baste for smoked meat and it took the lining off the saucepan, no seriously, it was just too hot for me. I had to split the sauce in half not once, but twice to salvage it. Start with a quarter of what you think you need and add more as required, its potent.Seems like a perfectly good product and not pricey so just slips into the excellent camp for me

Nice Smokey Chipotlepowder... was expecting it to be little hot spicy but that's ok it's got a nice rich smockyness to it. and gose well with almost any dish my 2nd time buyingand chilli wizards very good products I will recommend and buy more.

Much better than other chilli seasoning and we have tried alot! Better than Schwartz because they put other ingredients in their chipotle seasoning to bulk it out. Unfortunately when we purchased this product the first time ( a year ago or more) it was much better than it is now, so it's gone down hill, I'm guessing the company has compromised quality for profits which is a shame, but still better than can get in most shops.

I love this stuff, being immune to chilli heat I can't comment much on that. The smell and colour alone are enough of a reason to have this in your chilli con carne, but the flavour is enhanced so much. You can tell this is high quality because I never have to use more than a teaspoon, actually most times a half is enough, especially paired with smoked paprika. My chilli madras recipe is better, and I'm aware of culinary faux pas but I simply don't care 😉This is definitely one for the rack

I do cook a lot and use quite a bit of chilli powders and smoked paprika so when I found this I thought it would fit right in with my cooking style. I have to say I was more pleasantly surprised than I had expected. The heat from the chilli is just right, a good kick but not so hot it overpowers the flavour of the dish. The smokiness is warm and subtle, you can definitely taste it but it doesn't make the food taste bitter, which I have found with some smoked ingredients.This is going to have a permanent place on my spice shelf from now on. 5 Stars.

The chipotle powder I received made my soup taste like a bonfire. I expect that when used very sparingly it is more appreciable. But the smokeyness outweighs the heat by ten to one so the chilli/smoke balance factor is why I've rated this 3 stars.I find the quality of smoke flavour for this product is superior, at least compared to the batch of chipotle powder I received.Pimenton El Rey Sweet Smoked Paprika 75 g (Pack of 7)
