(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Worked exactly as expected. Easy to use and very straightforward. The higher the pitch of the noise and the more LEDs that light up tell you how strong the signal is. Once I had everything wired up my Freesat signal was 100% strength and 100% quality. Highly recommended!

. I was consistently receiving a poor signal, so o bought a new ariel, a new booster and even changed some of the co-ax. the signal would still drop out on various digital channels. I then tried this and who knew, the TV signal was actually too strong. So I didn't need a a signal booster after all, what I needed was a signal attenuator. Now, I receive all the TV channels in good quality.

4.0 out of 5 stars Did the trick!

I've installed a One For All "digital" antenna One For All SV9350 Outdoor DVBT Antenna in my loft. I was aware that a loft is a bad place for an aerial but since I could connect to the internal co-axial cable from there and the aerial would be protected from the elements, as well as being easier, I thought I'd give it a go.Had some pretty bad interference especially at night, really spoiled the viewing experience - was thinking I'd have to try installing the aerial outside or get someone to fit a roof aerial. However, I realised that the problem was worse when the signal level was low, so decided to try this device to get the best signal.I'll give more details below, but in summary the results were amazing, despite the aerial having been carefully positioned before my signal strength increased from less than 45% to more than 60%, and more importantly the interference has now gone on all channels. (I think that is because the signal is now strong enough not to be swamped by interference signals). I now have the aerial pointed in a direction and orientation that should have been completely wrong - there is no way I could have guessed that without this excellent signal finder.Another thing that helped (at least with inteference caused when switching on kitchen lights / device, before getting the fringe pro) was to filter mains borne interference using this: Tacima 6 Way Mains Conditioner and Radio Frequency Interference Filter.Despite highly recommending this meter, I have rated it 4 stars because:1) It needs the ability to attenuate the signal to reduce the sensitivity - I found that at first my signal lit all the lights - which suggests the signal is too strong - so I used a couple of splitters to attenuate the signal - that enabled me to find an even strong signal.2) The One For All DVB antenna needs power (via plugging in the supplied amp and attaching to the co-axial aerial cable downstairs). It would help if the signal finder could be fitted "in-line" so the antenna remains powered, or else if the signal finder could provide the needed power itself. I had to disconnect the amp downstairs and run a power extension cable into the loft to reconnect the amp - it could have been so much easier!3) The instructions don't really take into account situations such as (1) where the aerial is amplified and you cannot reduce the amount of amplification - in this case attenuation of the signal (eg using Y splitters or an actual attenuator) may be essential - without attenuation all LEDs were lit so the meter could not be used, or similarly (2) where the signal is deliberately over-amplified at the antenna to prevent signal degradation or interference further down the line. (Good advice is to do this, and then attenuate at the receiver end in cases of reception problems cause by signal degradation or interference.) Again attenuation is needed to avoid all the LEDs being lit.4) In my case due to the nature of the antenna I used (see link above) and the fact there were some small losses from the length of cable used (even though it is double-screened) I needed all the LEDs to be lit. The instructions indicate, incorrectly in this case, that you should not have the last LED lit. It's probably best checking what gives the best result, and not just assume that one LED should remain unlit. Perhaps an extra LED to indicate seriously high signal might help because I could easily have gone too far with the amount of signal, but since I needed all LEDs to light, I had no way to know how high the signal really was. (Actually what I did was to check if a change in the position of the antenna caused one LED to go out, so I know it was not vastly over signal).

Nothing to dislike. I've had similar devices in the past and been disappointed. This last week I've been on a touring caravan site in West Wales. Chronic TV reception. I could do nothing to improve it so I gave up. My neighbour showed me this device that he bought previously. He connected his unit to me Vision Plus aerial and straight away found the best direction to point the aerial. Bingo. Perfect result. 140, perfect channels. So because of that, I just had to buy one.All you do is insert the 9 volt battery. Connect to coax from the aerial direct to the relevant socket on the unit. Turn on the unit. The unit then whistles and led lights begin to illuminate. As you rotate the aerial, more light illuminate and the tone of the whistle gets higher. When you reach max tone frequency and most leds light, you are done. Turn off the unit, reconnect the coax to the TV and retune the TV. Job done.By the way you can also use the on satellite, but I don't have sat, so I can't vouch for it. Terrestrial TV is perfect.

My review is similar to another one on here for this product. We cancelled SKY and went with Freesat, but we wanted Freesat boxes in more than one room and the existing SKY dish and wideband LNB (despite having excellent signal quality) couldn't facilitate that.So I bought a kit off Bolo - a new bigger dish with a hybrid Geosync LNB - the old SKY dish was very old and rusty - plus I'd read that bigger dishes were better. Putting the new dish together and securing it to the wall was easy enough, but aligning the dish to the satellite wasn't - until I used this product.I took photos of the old dish before I removed it to have some idea of how I would need to align the new dish. I then downloaded a £3 satellite finder app. which I thought would do the trick and it did get the dish pointing in roughly the right direction but the Freesat box said no. It picked up no satellite signal at all and said I needed to check the cables.I then used this product which found the correct alignment within seconds - I wasn't that far out to be fair - probably centimetres. I now have excellent/full quality signal again, and will be installing extra Freesat boxes in the bedrooms soon. Doing all of this myself has saved me paying for an engineer which would have been a lot more expensive - plus I also now have the knowledge and this bit of kit if I need to do it again.
