We have this title along with 'words' and 'colours' and are looking for more in this range. Our son (16mth) absolutely loves them at the moment. He has very quickly picked up which animal is which and can point out the different animals when asked and is trying to say the names. They are a good size for him (approximate A5) with 10 sturdy card pages. Each 2pg spread has about 5 clear pictures, with description, of animals grouped by a theme like 'pets' or 'on the farm'. The books are aimed at 1yr+ and are not too babyish so hope they will last until he can read the words as well as the pictures.

My 17 mos twins have been chewing on board books a lot lately, so I got them this little book & they both love it! The pictures are all actual images of wild animals and they love looking at them - especially the giraffe, which spans two pages! They love flipping thru the book as I call out the names of each animal. Best of all, this is the only board book we have that still looks new because they chew on the teether part rather than the book! The little rattle is a great distraction too - I give it to them on the changing table & it works great! It's small enough for their tiny hands and my hand bag so we can take it everywhere! Great little book, highly recommend it!

2 - 3 weeks after getting this book, our then 8-months-old started chewing her books. I can't prove that it was due to this book, but we have now removed it and are trying to remind her that books are for looking at. The corners of this book were one of the first to be chewed off and seem to come off quite easily. Shame, as I like the pictures.
