The fan is very effective. The airflow is very strong and the fan is very stable. It definitely is noisy but I wasn't surprised as I expected it to be.
Strong Cooling Power! The BEST!
The media could not be loaded. I love this fan! It's solid, sturdy, and powerful. Many of the reviews said “it's loud” which needs some clarification.It's powerful like the industrial metal fans you'd typically see cooling a small, un-airconditioned store in the summer. So it has some massive cooling power (to the point that I'm surprised it is only 120 watts).With that, the wind noise it produces is naturally going to be loud. But if you're someone that enjoys the soothing brown noise sound of a fan -- it's PERFECT! The noise it produces isn't clunky, wobbly, squeaky, or anything annoying. Just a whole bunch of solid, even, brown-noise-esque wind noise. So while I might not sit directly in front of it while on the phone or a video conference for work, it's perfect otherwise.I don't have air-conditioning and it gets pretty hot in my house in the summer. This fan placed in front of a window is the ideal next-best-thing to air-conditioning. On its highest speed it's about as effective as a fan can get without being an air conditioner or swamp cooler. I'm going to order a second one to cool my upstairs area too.On the highest setting, it moves so much air so powerfully that when I sit in front of it I have to tie my hair back or it whips into my face!If you're looking for a silent little fan to create a slight breeze, this might not be the fan for you. But if you're sweltering in your unairconditioned house in desperate need of relief -- this is the one!(I don't normally leave reviews but I was so uncertain about this when I ordered it. I didn't see my specific needs/questions addressed in the reviews so I took an expensive chance on it. This fan ended up exceeding my highest expectations -- so I wanted to add my perspective & more product info for others who are unsure).
