This review is updated after 25 days of regular shaving with it. Update on bottom.I am somebody with very thick hair who shaves daily for last 24 years.I shave mostly with Gillette Proglide and when I have 5 spare minutes more, my beloved one, Mühle DE razor.Well even if I or you consider this information as relevant for reviewing this one razor, I find it very impressive.I tried shaving for multiple days: half face with Wilkinson Xtreme 3 and half face with my everyday standard one Gillette Proglide. Next day I tried Wilkinson Xtreme 3 and Mühle R89 razor. Well, only straight razor beats performance of R89, but this test was very interesting what this Wilkinson Xtreme 3 can achieve.Shave was extremely similar to Proglide, very close to skin but much more forgiving. If Proglide says in its name to glide over skin smoothly, you should really try this Xtreme 3. It glides so incredibly smooth I did not even had a feeling it cuts anything at all. Until I saw it did cut. But only hair.This razor is so amazingly forgiving I believe you can not cut yourself even if you try so much to do it.I was unable. When I can mildly cut myself with Proglide if I do not start well on jaw bones or around lips, this one razor did everything perfectly fine.So next few days I tried another one on much more sensitive skin in 50 centimeters lower and performance was very good if not tremendous. No cuts at all, well shaved.Only downside for me was lubrication strip as in combination with water and shaving soap it became too much slimy and I had those slime strays all over my face.Overall, definitely very decent and potential product for very good price.Update, 5th May 2024 , exactly after 25 days or regular shaving with this razor:Incredible, absolutely incredible!1.) Really impossible to cut face with it. I forced with pressing too hard and because razor bends, skin always escapes injury. Then I tried on non-moisted skin - impossible. Also I tried with aggressively cutting in x pattern. Without success cutting myself.2.) I tried changing my shaving soap to some other and those slimy strays gone. But ok, this is just proof to myself it's nothing wrong with razor, it is combination of that strip and my favorite shaving soap. I will still use that soap and get used to side effects.3.) This razor cuts much better with 3 blades than Proglide with 4 blades. Quality above quantity!4.) After approximately. 25-30 shaves I still use first razor and it shaves as well as 1st day. I shave regularly every morning + sometimes twice a day if I have some overnight business I do not want to look there badly groomed.5.) I use another one razor for my private areas and in my opinion this razor is absolute winner. Also, impossible to cut very sensitive skin. Shaves perfectly, no irritation at all and job is done much quicker and neatly than with depilatory products. From now on, only shaving with this razor.6.) Time is money. I manage to shave much more quicker than ever before using my other razors. Well, using my DE razor I enjoy it a lot but it takes much more time for preparation and there must not be any hurry at all. With Proglide I can shave quick and fluently but sometimes I have struggling with some tiny nicks here and there or by simply not gliding over skin at all. With this razor I am blazing fast just because its forgiveness.7.) Only what I miss on this razor is that one separate fine razor I have on Proglide and is very useful for those ultra precision cuts of very small spots under nose or close to lips. So now I use both. Xtreme3 for 98% job and those 2% precise cuts with Proglide.8.) I am concerned I somehow robbed Wilkinson by buying this. 24 razors for so little money spent but I will probably have them for over 1 year. Incredible.Tip to you, future buyer: BUY now when you still have chance and this model does not change in quality or do not become obsolete.
