ALCAR helps to burn fats in the mitochondria of the cells. If you feel more energy and clarity of thought when taking it, then you might be at some stage of metabolic syndrome due to overconsumption of carbs from plant food. If in good health, this can slightly improve your gym performance. This product is pure powder, which makes it fiddly to take, but then you reduce the burden on your stomach by diluting the powder before swallowing. Rinse your mouth straight away, as the stuff is acidic.

I like this product, but normally buy it in capsule form. Thought I was saving money by buying it as a powder - thought I was going to add it to my morning juice. However, it tastes so bad that I had to order gelatin capsules to put it in which is time consuming. I recommend you buy this product in capsule form not the powder

I mix this and Green Tea Extract Powder in about 200ml cold water and gulp it down immediately before my workout. It really does enable me to hit the treadmill harder, running measurably further and faster.It doesn't of much and the green tea extract overpowers it anyway, but I'm happy to take the hit as the alternative is to add sweeteners and whatever in an attempt to disguise it and I don't think that's worth taking extra calories for. I use a an odour resistant water blender bottle, which is filled with water for during my workout after and there is no sign of green tea or carnitine when I'm done.

Effective, But the Strong Smell Makes Administration Tricky
I had some reservations about purchasing L-Carnitine in bulk, mainly due to concerns about the strong ammonia smell that can develop as the supplement degrades. Upon opening the package, the smell was already noticeable, and it has progressively gotten stronger. This has made it difficult to administer to my child, whose doctor recommended this supplement. The taste and odor are quite pungent, which has forced me to break up the dosage and distribute it over two meals.That said, the product itself works well. It helps reduce her daytime sleepiness and fatigue. There’s a noticeable difference on the days she takes it versus the days she doesn’t. Now, she takes it daily, and it seems to make a real difference. But the odor and taste are definitely something I hope she can outgrow, and I look forward to the day when she'll be able to swallow pills instead of dealing with the off-putting smell of the powder.
