it gives the impression that all boxes are the same size, but the top is significantly smaller than the bottom. It works out for us.

Bought these from a large plastic box container supplier for a set of 4 boxes (£44 not inc shipping, these can be bought singly even cheaper elsewhere), and they are very durable and of a rigid build.They can be nested when the boxes are aligned together. To stack them, the top box is positioned a few centimetres backwards from the bottom box, slotting into grooves about 2cm deep. This means the higher you stack them, the further back the top box is, and the bottom box's base sticks out further. A stack of 4 boxes leaves roughly 3/4 inches difference between the wall and the bottom box. Do not attempt to lift and carry multiple boxes about as every attempt I have tried it topples over. So clearly it's not the most stable of stacked box with an open end, but if you are putting these against a wall, and not stacking more than 3/4 it shouldn't be an issue for most people.An alternative people might be interested in are Allibert 220043 Proton with Lid Polypropylene Tray [Set of 3 Burgundy, burgundy, 90L, these are more stable, but hold slightly less and aren't quite as rigid.
