Primium brand, Price per/kg means this probably the most expensive fish food I've ever purchased, however the pellets are tiny, and plenty of them, prefect size for my little batta. He loves them and feeds from my finger. I only use around 8ish pellets a time (as part of a balanced diet, bloodworm etc.) and feed him two to three times a week. There's plenty of pellets so having 3 packets, this is going to last him a vey long time! Ziplock packet so stays fresh. Overall I'm very happy. I've also used HIKARI koi pellets too, it's a premium brand prefect for our little premium fishy friends.

Am hoping my fighters will colour up ! It is easy to feed as the feed is very small am not sure how it will last.I alternate with the basic food

All my pond fish are fed hikari as it is known for its high quality, and my aquarium friends deserve the same. Just like any other pet, a good diet is very important, - you wouldn't feed your dog or cat nasty cheapy crap so the same should be applied to our fishy friends.I know the price is a little off putting but this stuff lasts for AGES. just make sure to not over feed. I got my betta the betta specific food as he kept eating so much of the hikari micro pellet food and wasn't leaving any for the rasboras. The little sod still prefers the micro pellets over this, but this stuff is good because it floats and gives him time to find it unlike the other food that sinks over time.If you want a beautiful healthy betta then this food i can recommend. toss that disgusting flake food. all its good for is clogging up your filter and going mouldy.

It's such a great help when others leave reviews,as I wanted to do the very best I could for my Betta fish,he loves the bio gold,and a few (3) pellets fed twice a day float and he swims up to get them,eaten quickly,and his colours are enhanced,bettas are carnivorous fish do need a carnivorous diet,also has has spirulina in these floating pellets,would highly recommend.its now 2019 March,and just ordered more Hikari Betta gold for the same Betta fish ! Going strong,always comes up to surface of his tank and still loves this food,Hikari is well worth the money for a colourful,interested,lively Betta fish.

Have used this product several times for my betta boy. It is exactly the excellent quality you would expect from Hikari.Possibly the price would put you off as the packs seem very small, but even if you feed it exclusively, it lasts for ages. The size of the floating pellet is exactly right for feeding bettas, and I must say my lad has thrived on them. I also think they encourage a more vibrant colour. So, don't hesitate, do give them a try. My male betta is now nearly 3 years old which is a very good age, and I am sure a good diet contributes to his longevity.

My Betta seems to like this but the gains are too big for him to swallow. He keeps spitting it out. May work better once the Betta gets a bit bigger.

I have a couple of tropical fish tanks, a 200 litre tank which houses many different species including about a dozen female Bettas, plus an AquaOne Betta Trio tank which is home to my three male fighters.I feed them all a combination of Betta flakes and these Hikari Betta pellets. They always go for the pellets first, so I've always known I can rely on the Hikari pellets. I've been using them for about three years now, and a single packet lasts ages even with all of the mouths that I have to feed. This multi-pack should last me years.
