Seals in all that shine without suffocating your skin and blocking any pores etc and makes a smooth clean base for your foundation to glide over so easily and has definitely helped with my oil control and I feel so much more confident knowing I won't be shiny within half an hour of applying my makeup! Nice satin finish, neutral fragrance. Make up products works well when applied on top of the primer, leaving nice texture. Has been using it for a few weeks now and would definitely recommend it, hasn't caused any breakouts even that my skin is usually problematic and sensitive.

I tried it today for the first time as I have quite bad skin and need my make-up to stay on.Well I noticed the difference as soon as I started to put my foundation on. I usually wear liquid foundation and then power foundation over it. With this, I didn't even need the power it made my face look flawless. It definitely stays matte for a long time, only today was a really really hot day and I sweat a lot. It definitely kept my make-up on, usually my make-up melts at the first sign of heat and I have to keep reapplying.The only thing with this primer is, even though it kept my foundation on, it didn't stay matte. My face looked really shiny.This is a fantastic primer and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a cheaper alternative. The one thing I will mention though is, on the tube it says "can be worn under make-up or on top." I do not advise to wear over make-up as I tested it out and all it did was remove the foundation and made it streaky. Not a good look,Other than that, it's a very good primer and I will be using this one from now on.

I am so amazed with this primer. I have very oily skin and nothing seems to control my oil which always makes my makeup a greace ball and waste of time.But this primer surprised me!. I could actually wear my makeup for more than 6-7 hours without any oil peeping through and my makeup looking so flawless!I am really happy with this primer!

I bought this primer having read rave reviews from beauty bloggers as a cheaper everyday alternative to my Wild About Beauty Serum Primer (which I love!). Having used it for a few weeks now, I'm not impressed. I find it a bit stubborn to apply, resulting in a thin layer over the skin rather than being partially absorbed into the skin, partially acting as a barrier. The Wild About Beauty serum has the benefit of sinking into the skin a bit to keep my skin hydrated, as well as acting as a lovely base to apply my foundation to. Using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and Clinique Liquid Foundation using both primers, I've found that my base is really difficult to apply when using the Rimmel Primer as it doesn't blend or move around the skin as well to create a natural finish. I also found that half way through the day, the foundation was creasing considerably into parts of my face which doesn't happy even when I apply with fingers with no primer. When using the Wild About Beauty serum by comparison, the product glides on and creates a lovely finish.Overall I wouldn't buy this again and will be looking to some of the other drugstore brands for a budget every day primer.

The consistency is like a thin white cream. It feels smooth on the skin. Not heavy. Nice mattifying effect. Holds makeup in place and looking pretty for a good amount of time. I have the setting spray too and it works well also. I like wearing over my sunscreen to keep shine at bay and it helps with that. It’s not super grippy/tacky feeling and I like that but maybe you won’t if that’s what you’re looking for. Those type seem to feel heavy on my skin.
