Product did initially clean the paving but moss, weeds came back within weeks. Have sprayed twice and have new moss growing so need to spray again. Not sure that this is the best product for me.

This product works... slowlyWe have a large clay tiled roof which was completely re-tiled about 5 years ago. It looked great when it was new but after a couple of years it started to become infested with moss and lichen. A quote from a roofing company to remove the moss by hand was prohibitively expensive, so we gave this a try.I tested a portion of the roof using the 4:1 mix suggested. I did notice a slight reduction in the moss, but after waiting another 3 weeks the roof still looked heavily infested. I then tried again with a 2:1 mix. This time the results were obvious; the next morning all the green moss had turned brown (which was already a visual improvement because it blended slightly with the dark red tiles). I also noticed a few small patches where the moss or lichen had been completely removed from the surface, leaving a slight discolouration. 2 weeks later there are numerous patches where the moss has completely disappeared and the rest of the moss has turned into small dark crusty clumps. I tried removing some of these by hand but they were still stubborn. I think I will treat it again in another couple of weeks.So, my conclusion is the product does work, but in my case it required a stronger mix and, as other reviewers have stated, it requires some patience.For those who are wondering how to treat a roof without use of ladders/scaffolding: I used a 30ft long window cleaning pole and pump with a garden-sprayer attached to the top with duct tape. It's a bit unwieldy, but it works.

Cover plants as this stuff will burn the leaves. Effective on mildew, mould and moss on hard surfaces. Used successfully on render, plastic, tarmac, metal and rubber. Visibly effective in 24 hours. Any black mould residue on render will need to be removed when dry with a stiff or wire brush (brass or steel wire). Red algae on render died and vanished. You will need a decent quality face mask and eye protection. I used Bolle eye goggles, a JSP Force 8 mask and a pump sprayer with up to 2m of lance available. Also used were ladders. Try to spray downwards away from yourself. Shower afterwards and wash clothes. Keep eye drops or eye wash handy just in case. Avoid windy days. Wind speed of 6mph max as the wind can pick up the spray and blow it back at you as I found out with a couple of gusts necessitating deferring application until I got calmer weather. I also found I needed quite a bit more than expected for the rough render. 12x5 litres for small 2 bed detached and ancillary mildew covered items.
