Generally, first of all test strips are used; these are dipped in a urine sample to detect any signs of an infection: white blood cells (leukocytes), nitrites (many bacteria not normally present in urine convert nitrate from food into nitrite) and in severe infection cases blood will be present. If any of these signs are present, a more detailed investigation of both the urine and the patient will be required

    This product gave me the confidence to go to the GP walk in “urgent“ surgery because i knew i definitely needed antibiotics, rather than thinking I should wait to see if the problem passed!

    Good kit with easy to understand results explanation, sticks were unlike every other one i looked at on Bolo individual wrapped so were kept sterile until you need to use them .This will then give a much more balanced reading than unsterilized unwrapped ones. They came quickly and I will order from this seller again. I know that expense comes to mind. But the peace of mind this kit gives me is priceless and I'm happy to pay for the mental peace and control over my own health this kit given me. Unlike lots of other way over priced and useless stuff I bought and I recommend them heartily 5*****+ :-D.

    2 tests changed colour for leukocytes (uti). Confirmed by GP and antibiotics prescribed. Will buy again to keep in the cupboard.

    It is easy to use and understand it. You just put the strip in your pee for a while, take it out and the little cubes change in colour. You can move it next to the results and see what colour you got and what it means.
