About this item:
Black high temperature silicone sealant - 85g tube with extreme temperatures up to 350°C.
Meets all requirements of the car manufacturers (OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer). Replaces traditional gaskets such as cork, paper, felt, asbestos and rubber. The silicone is sensor safe and can therefore be safely used in lambda sensors in modern vehicles with electronic fuel injection.
Resistant to: oils, greases, coolants, etc.
Applications: valve covers, oil pan seals, thermostat, water pump, etc.
Can be used for all components to create a waterproofing and resistance to high temperatures. K2 silicone can be used for all makes and models of cars.
K2 silicone penetrates and cares for the smallest bumps or columns, which can significantly improve the connected elements. Use as an alternative to conventional rubber grommets.
How to use:
The surface must be dry, dust, dirt, grease and foam free, age sealing. A Bug 'Great The Seal On The Surface, then remove the excess which is water and soap or apply on wet skin, with a knife.
The silicone starts to dry in 5 minutes and after 24 hours it is cured.

Rocker cover weeping oil? Then wipe all around seal area with white spirit, wipe off, add sealant with finger press firmly, wipe clean, allow to dry 24hrs. Voilà, no leaks. Worked beautifully on my Merc V8.

The nozzle does not stay on the tube. The thread is too big. Initially the nozzle appeared OK and screwed into place. Unfortunately, when the tube is squeezed, the nozzle just shoots off and black stuff goes everywhere. Eventually got the job done, but wasted a lot of the contents and had to squeeze the tube with one and whilst holding the nozzle on with the other, so took ages - awkward, slow, messy and wasteful.

Used to successfully seal all around a join between two parts of the flue behind my stove where expansion was an issue. Only used a small amount of the 85g tube which went a long way. Highly recommended solution for that.
