I purchased this due to England finally actually having some hot weather and as a disabled woman, it is making me a lot more uncomfortable than your average person and with disability comes right funds so as soon as I saw this at the price it was at, I just knew I had to get it. It was very easy to put together, took my partner less than 5 minutes to do with the help of a drill (although drill is not required!). We just used a drill due to it being a lot quicker than doing it with a manual screwdriver. The instructions were very easy to understand with lots of pictures to help you along the way but it was that easy, my partner did not need these! When up, it is a little flimsy but not massively. Even on the lowest setting, it is still quite powerful, easily felt on the other side of the room. The air it blows out is very nice and cool. Some reviews say it is very loud but we do not feel that is the case, ours makes no rattling noise whatsoever, all you can hear is the wind being blown out so this could definitely be used in a bedroom and you’ll still sleep peacefully. The blades do not feel flimsy, just the actual frame. It has 3 different settings depending on how cool you would like to be. For the price, overall, I would say this fan is 100% worth it, a good fan if like me, you are on a tight budget. It does pretty much the same thing the fans over £100 do. I could not recommend this product anymore than I do. Going to make Summer and these heatwaves so much more bareable! Only downside is there being no remote control but for the price, I wouldn’t expect that.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, very happy!
Fantastic! I’m so glad I purchased this. The UK heat has been so extreme and it’s getting worse every year. With houses having no air conditioning, this fan is the best there is for price and quality. It’s adjustable up and down, and it rotates too, but that can be stopped if needed. There’s three airflow settings and the noise is minimal.Honestly a great purchase, it was very simply to build too. Took my partner less than ten minutes. I recommend for sure. Thanks so much!
4.0 out of 5 stars Negatives, positives and advice here!
Looks like there are a number of different manufacturers supplying these fans (hence the use of 'generic' in the description) and it's your Donald Duck which one you get.Mine was branded 'Sentik' and looks like I've been luckier than many of you'Negatives/advice:Diabolically bad instructions (but could vary between models), but take your time and a good helping of common sense.Power cord ridiculously short - instructions state that you should not run it under a carpet, but if you did the carpet would only be 30cm wide!Almost impossible to see the 0,1,2,3 power settings, but I see this does vary between models.Would suggest not using the adjustable height unless absolutely necessary - I don't think it would fall over, but the motor and fan assembly is a bit heavy for the spread of the legs supplied when at full height.Don't bother fitting the branded roundel on the front guard - it only restricts air flow, and has no functional purpose.Be aware that the large plastic nut that secures the fan blades in place MAY have a left hand thread (anticlockwise to tighten).Positives:Good value for money.Good variable and effective speed settings.Does the job.Happy assembly!
5.0 out of 5 stars Poor build quality, but does the job very well, so... most perfectly efficient product?
This thing is built from the sturdiest of aluminium foils, forgotten risk assessments, and the best, most cunningly minimalistic engineering ingenuity. If you are clumsy or sensitive, wear thick gloves putting this together as there are sharp edges. The plastic components may also need a bit of a wipe down. The central pole is not actually a roll of shiny wrapping paper misplaced inside some PVC plumbing tube off-cut, it is the actual pole. Pull it out to extend.Once put together, this looks and operates exactly like a fan, it can also move a lot of air and it's great. The buttons are in the correct order of power/speed, vertically lowest is zero, then 1 above it, then 2, then 3 (not always the case (for good reason too!)). They probably stopped short of giving it a 4 as it might blow itself over. Not ideal for areas of heavy traffic. The feet would likely yield to the most humble of toe stubs resulting in a most apathetic royal bow - reinforcing them with toilet roll cores might just give them a 500% boost in structural rigidity if you cannot place it off the beaten track. It does not do the best job of making coffee, nor blending smoothies, so unfortunately I cannot recommend it for these use cases.I have been running it for the past couple of months, sometimes at 20+ hours per day. Absolutely no decline in service. The stand has not yet buckled under the weight of the fan and my home has also not yet burned down. I cannot ask for more.I shall leave you all with a fitting quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupery."Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."...and they certainly have taken away a great deal.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great affordable fan
The media could not be loaded. No instructions but was easy enough to figure how it went together! Powerful even on setting 1! Setting 3 blows you away haha but blows fast and cools down the room also which is a good feature! I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good affordable fan! It’s also very quiet too compared to other fans I’ve had in the past
3.0 out of 5 stars Few faults.
was built wrong and had to bend parts to make them fit, also can't adjust height because of this, instructions were a joke and writing was tiny, fan hits off the back of cover when it's on and facing upwards so got a few faults but other than it's okay. wouldn't buy again though.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really quiet and effective - great value.
I needed a pedestal fan for my indoor cycling setup. And this is excellent value for money given how quet and effective it is.
