I've used "compatible" inks before on a previous printer, from a well known reputable firm, but found them problematic. After a while I was getting terrible quality printout, and I thought the print head had gone.The first question the repair guy asked me was "do you use Compatible ink cartridges?".It took me a week of soaking & cleaning with alcohol to get the head working again.Compatible inks use water as a medium, whereas genuine inks use a more stable medium which doesn't dry out quickly.So I now use only genuine ink in my printer.They cost far too much, and Canon use price maintenece, so are never discounted, but they always work in the printer, are problem free output, and don't dry out.So I give these inks 5* for performance, but 3* for value as they almost cost the same as the printer to replace.The XL give better value than the standard, and it's not as though I'm going through lots of cartridges in a year.And it's actually cheaper to buy black & colour XL with photo prints paper cheaper than just buying the cartridges alone.I think the price fixing goes against anti-trust (USA) legislation and EU fair trading laws on competition, but as I'm in post-Brexit UK it looks like I'm stuck with it.Anyway, congrats to Canon on an excellent product, if a premium price.

I am a firm believer you get what you pay for, after buying several other branded cartridges I found that the original has always been the best. It lasts longer and the print quality is also better. Although it is quite expensive just for ink, the price is very competitive for the quality and reliability you are getting from this Canon Cartridge.Would recommend this over other altenates. Don't buy cheap.

This is a genuine Cannon product, and it worked perfectly in my printer,the print quality was good and I only ever print in black so never buy colour ink cartridges and the XL size is better value than the smaller size cartridge.

Hohe Reichweite:Die XL-Variante ist ein echter Gewinn, vor allem wenn man häufiger druckt. Laut Herstellerangaben schafft sie bis zu 400 Seiten, was ich in meinem Fall bestätigen kann. Ich habe die Patrone vor etwa einem Monat eingesetzt und trotz intensiver Nutzung (ca. 300 Seiten) ist immer noch Tinte vorhanden. Der Unterschied zur Standardgröße ist enorm – ich spare dadurch Zeit und Geld, weil ich weniger oft nachkaufen muss.2. Hervorragende Druckqualität:Die Drucke sind gestochen scharf, besonders bei Textdokumenten. Die pigmentierte schwarze Tinte sorgt für klare Konturen und eine professionelle Optik.
