My wife thinks he is awesome looking but what does she know ??? She married me ! Seriously though its the music that counts and in this respect he is very easy to listen to, smooth songs, bit of humour, usual dose of country music sadness but generally this disc has a feel good factor and will encourage you to buy more of his music, as it did for me. Can't recommend this highly enough if you like modern country in the Kenny Chesney style. Worth buying...and let your wife drool at the cover !

We don't do country in the UK, but now my family does!I heard the opening track to this album on a country show in the radio. It was just on the radio, so a complete fluke. Track one is of a different style to rest, blending country and a bit of hip hop almost. It's brilliant and now the kids ask for "the black truck song" every time we travel in the car!The other tracks are more traditional country, but also good.

Another very good album by an artist I hadn't heard of until a few weeks ago. If the more modern style of country music appeals to you then give this a try .

One of the best acts in Country music today. I saw him performing in New York (Aug 2014) and is great, good musician/singer and a nice chap. His music has all the right ingredients to really please and connect with the crowd and the critics. Uptempo songs and good chorus to sing with. He has even been recognized by his peers as the best country act in the last 3 years.

I first heard That's my kind of night on the radio and I thought it was epic. So now I have the album and I'm not disappointed. Although That's my kind of night is the best, I do have a few I really like such as Beer in the Headlights and Dirt road Diary. Worth a listen.

OK let's get the dreadful 'deluxe edition' garbage out of the way first, this is something that is really annoying me about the current state of the music business. This is blatant 'trying to make more money' and not about art! Several artists these days are now releasing more than one 'deluxe edition', making deals etc., this is why Keith Urban released an 8 track album a few years ago, the normal 10-11 album was a deal made for extra tracks (when was an 11 track album extra tracks!). It's getting out of hand!Luke Bryan has really found his groove with this album, it's difficult for country artists to sound different or stand out, but Luke has done it, as soon as you hear a Luke Bryan song you know it can't be anyone else from the instrumentation. But there are times on this album where it does sound like 'Luke by numbers', many songs do sound very similar! But he's still new and he can get away with it, for the moment.There are many good songs on the album, many choices for country radio to take to the top of the charts, 2 songs already have, the title track and 'That's my kind of night'. 'Roller coaster' would be my next choice. 'I See you' and 'Dirt road diary' stand out. All the bonus tracks are good, it's odd that 3 are up-tempo and would have fitted nicely on the standard edition and the final song 'Your mama should've named you Whiskey' is an album highlight. How they pick out which tracks should only be included on the 'deluxe edition' is beyond me. 'Play it again' to me is the weakest track and is extremely irritating!The album has already sold more than half a million in the states, not easy these days. Well worth buying even if you are not just a country fan.

This is country music at its best. The lyrics are really meaningful and the guitar playing superb."Sit right here and have a beer" is a moving tribute to his friend."Crash my party" has such good ideas about friendship, beautifully phrased, and "They're playing my song" is simple and lovely.I can't imagine a better album for country lovers. And Luke Bryan is good-looking!

You cannot listen to the songs on this CD and not feel energized and more alive. That is one of the strengths of Bryan - his music has an energy to it that makes you want to do things - to live life a bit more fully, to be part of the community. There are no tracks on it that do not belong and I am sure I will be listening to in several years from now.

un futur classique de la New Country ?

J'ai découvert Crash My Party en écoutant son tube (that's my mind of night) sur les routes de l'Utah. Même si la pochette est un peu kitch, la nouvelle country n'est pas ce que j'imaginais (une espèce de rock de papy avec un violon grinçant, vrillant les cages à miel, comme notre musique populaire avec son accordéon... bref une belle éruption d'urticaire aiguë avec BAB obligatoires de sortie dans tout rencontre festive campagnarde !). Anyway, avec cette album, son 5e si je ne me trompe pas, caracole à la tête des charts US de la country et c'est mérité. Un belle voix, des chansons entrainantes, modernes sans sacrifier aux sonorités country mais version rock (mais je ne suis pas sur que les puristes apprécient !). La production est top, les arrangements sont bien faits et curieusement très riches : ce n'est pas seulement une suite de chansons country-rock simplistes. On peut réecouter sans se lasser avec une écoute attentive (on découvre souvent un riff que l'on n'avait pas entendu de suite !). Il y a plusieurs tubes (notamment That's my kind of night et Crash My party n°1) et ceux qui n'en sont pas pourrait l'être : comment y fait ce gars bien sympathique ? Parce qu'il est parti prenante dans la composition en plus : pas un simple faire valoir qui a juste une belle voix !Finalement, c'est mélodieux, agréable, entrainant, bien écrit, bien arrangé, bien produit, varié : alors pourquoi s'en priver ?... j'ai d'ailleurs finalement acheté tous ces albums. Un coup de coeur j'vous dit !----------------En 2015: je suis allé le voir en concert. Trop top.

Die Musik ist klasse. Mein absolutes Lieblingslied ist "That's my kind of night", dicht gefolgt von "Roller Coaster". Aber auch die anderen Stücke überzeugen durchaus mit Melodie, Rythmus und der genialen Stimme. Ich hoffe, Luke Bryan wird in Deutschland bekannter werden.
