Description:
N-acetyl-L-cysteine is a glucogenic, sulphurous amino acid that is synthesized in the liver.
It possesses anti-oxidant properties and may improve the defence response of the immune system. People with depressed immune function usually exhibit significantly depressed cysteine levels.
NAC is an altered form of the amino acid L-Cysteine and is one of the few amino acids to contain sulphur. As a consequence, NAC has strong sulphur like odour which is completely normal and may build up inside the bottle.
