I purchased these to use with a silhouette portrait (I cut them down the right hand side with big kitchen scissors to fit), and they’re much better quality than the Silhouette mats. They’re cheaper, and slightly thicker which makes them harder wearing. I use them with sticker paper and 300gsm cardboard, my machine takes them exactly as it does the Silhouette brand as long as I make sure they’re cut down enough with no problem at all.I get through quite a lot as I use my Silhouette Portrait almost daily, and these last twice as long so I definitely recommend them! They are very sticky when new, so I simply use a clean towel to destick them a little, which I was doing with the Silhouette mats anyway. At a better price, and lasting twice as long they’re a no brainer for me! I’ve purchased them a couple of times now due to heavy use, and will continue to do so.

I have a Brother Scan n Cut, which is fabulous except for the cutting mats which lose their stickiness quickly, so out of frustration I bought these and stuck them over the useless Scan n Cut mat (avoiding covering the registration marks on the SnC mat) works like a dream and cheaper too.

This is my 2nd set of Cricut mats and I have to say I’m happy with them (I bought another name brand prior to getting these, but had to return them because the one mat cracked within a few uses) and although they were cheaper I went back to Cricut because it’s a brand I trust and always get good quality from all their products. I use mine almost daily so can’t really complain about losing the stickiness – but do find they lose their stickiness within a short space of time. I just wish Cricut included a mat cleaner because I would be happy to pay for the real deal cleaner from Cricut instead of always looking for ways to clean them and find they never go back to their original stickiness.

If you have a Cricut machine please don’t waste your money on non Cricut mats as it really isn’t worth it. Yes Cricut are more expensive but if you look after them they will do the job so much better. Most people who complain about the cost probably don’t look after them well enough, use the correct tools and I promise it will be worth it. The thickness is just write and holds its stickiness well, again you need to use the right tools to remove any leftover bitsOverall great price and great service

Good mat and much cheaper than cameo plus you get two..that's the plus side..down side is they don't last anywhere near cameo mat..cameo had for 3 months mid usage. .cricut started to lose tac after a couple of weeks..on the surface it sounds like a good deal but they won't last as long ..other than that they are fine for light use..

i read most of the reviews before buying the Cricut 12 x 12 cutting mat for my Silhouette Cameo, i thought it wouldn't make much difference;but at lest i will get 2 for the price of one- but i was wrong.i have been cutting on my machine none stop for 2 weeks and the same mat is still going strong.my original cutting mat would not be any good by now. why is it different to the Cameo one; i don't know, but the tackiness is much better and i am getting less bad cuts from this mat, i think i will be buying the longer one of these next time, as sometimes i like to cut a a3 size card or lots of different paper on one mat or cut a long length piece of fabric, i just love love love this mat
What can go wrong?
Well, the standard mat, really not sure what else to comment. Maybe unless you're not a cricut user then you'll say it's useless right. 🤣

Erstklassige Alternative zu Silhouette-Matten!
Ich habe diese Matten gekauft, weil ich bei den Original-Matten von Silhouette einen Qualitätsabfall bei gleichzeitiger Preissteigerung festgestellt hatte. Ich habe noch ein paar alte Silhouette-Matten "in Betrieb", und die sind wirklich durch nichts zu toppen. Aber seit einiger Zeit scheint die Kleberschicht dünner zu sein, so dass man mit ganz regulären Schnitten kleberfreie Linien hinterläßt. Nicht gut. Und dann noch der Preis!Also habe ich mich auf eine Mattenexpedition begeben, es musste doch eine Alternative geben?Ich habe einige getestet, diese ist die einzige, die ich empfehlen kann, dafür aber sehr.Zugegeben, wenn man die Folie das erste Mal abzieht, stinkt die Matte unglaublich nach Chemie. Das verfliegt aber schnell, auch dann, wenn man die Abdeckfolie wieder auflegt und die Matte erst einmal in eine stille Ecke legt. Die Abdeckfolie ist dünner als die bei Silhouette und aus anderem Material, dass sich statisch aufladen kann. Deshalb ist es nicht ganz leicht, sie wieder präzise aufzulegen. Da die Matte aber über einen breiteren Rand verfügt, muss man auch nicht so eine Ziellandung hinlegen.Der breitere Rand - tja, das Format der Matte stimmt nicht überein mit dem der originalen Silhouette-Matten.Das ist aber kein Grund, diese Matte abzulehnen, wie ich finde. Natürlich kann man die Matte zuschneiden. Das habe ich genau einmal gemacht. Die nutze ich jetzt, wenn ich die volle 12x12-Fläche benötige. Ansonsten verschiebe ich um 7mm nach unten und 2 mm nach rechts und dann klappt das prima. Bei Print&Cut ist es wichtig, dass man sein Material kennt, damit man nicht mehrere Registrierungsdurchläufe braucht. Die automatische Registrierung läuft natürlich schief, kein Problem, einfach das Messer mit den Pfeiltasten über das Quadrat fahren und "manuell" auswählen.Die Cricut-Matten sind von der Klebefläche her nicht so gut wie die alten Silhouette-Matten, aber besser als die neuen Silhouette-Matten und dazu deutlich günstiger.Ich kaufe definitiv noch mehr davon!
