When I first bought a Glen Campbell CD, the quality was quite poor and this put me off his work.Since then I have bought 2 collections, both on the Capitol label, and these have been first class in every way.The title track is surely one of his greatest, along with Gentle On My Mind, Wichita Lineman, Galveston and Rhinestone Cowboy. The remainder can't match it, but this certainly one to keep to listen over again.

The title song on this CD, my favourite of his and among my inheritance tracks, appears to be cut short. VERY disappointing.

Excellent buy!

Et puis, dès le morceau d'ouverture, le phénoménal "By The Time I Get To Phoenix", on est soufflé.

By the time I get to Phoenix" .

This is a "Must Have" album for Glen Campbell fans!

W.F.G. · 4 July 2016

I had this album on vinyl back in the 70's & loved it! When it was released on CD in 1996 I bought it & loved hearing it all over again but without the sounds of wear & tear & clicks & pops of the old vinyl LP. In 2013 I bought the CD again as part of the "5 Classic Albums" box set. I loved all the albums but "By The Time I Get To Phoenix" has a special place in my heart. That is why when I discovered the new 180 gram vinyl release I had to have it & I got it! The sound is spectacular! If you're thinking of getting your first Glen Campbell CD, make it this one & it will impress you enough to want more. If you already have Glen Campbell CD's in your collection & want to try or go back to vinyl, this is the one to get. When you listen to each of the songs on this album, you will hear why it won a Grammy award! Highly, highly recommended!Recommended songs: I can't pick because they're all that good!
