The latch broke on my back door. Someone came out and managed to get the door open, but I was told I would probably need a who new locking mechanism and it would probably cost over £150 if the parts where still available.The door was still useable but I wanted it fully fixed, found this lock mechanism on here and after checking all the dimensions very carefully I realised this was the lock I needed. Item came the next day and was fitted within an hour by myself, including applying grease to the rest of the mechanism.Just make sure you check the dimensions as even this lock comes in two different sizes.

. . . sadly it was incompatible so I had to put the old faulty case back in which took about three hours as I had forgotten how everything was put together . . . but I eventually got there and magically the original faulty lock is now functioning just fine so it all worked out well in the end anyway.

Good price, exactly the same as original. Suggest you remove old lock first and check dimensions as there is many different locks. How to measure can be found on the internet. Photograph removal of old lock in it's stages and avoid confusion when it comes to reassembly.

The actual lock mechanism was a like for like replacement and I have no problems with this at all. I bought this because of it being a Prime item with next day delivery for security reasons as opposed to other items not covered by prime at a lesser price. The next day delivery was cancelled at appx 3pm next day with a new date range. It came 24 hours later. The item was fantastic, the time to receive it was not acceptable
