This product is absolutely disgusting. Once open a pungent rancid smell becomes you that yiu are forced to check the use by date as yuure thinking this must be "off" . It has loads of seeds encorporated into the block. The tamarind block is 400g and states that it contains seeds, However the seeds weight more than 200g, do the maths! Anyway once I got over the smell I checked the date as I thought maybe it's off. To my amazement it has a used by date of March 2023 so therefore it was in date. I received the item on Wednesday evening 5th August. I plucked up the courage to have a tiny pinch of it, so that I could taste it, and that in itself was a nightmare. It tasted worse than the smell!. Now I have picked tamarind off my Granny's tree in Jamaica on many occasions. I have never seen tamrind pulp like this , nor smelled anything like this product. The product does not have the sweet and sour taste of tamarind at all. Furthermore I decided to put the block into some cold water as an expirement To my amazement I watched the so called pulp disintegrate into a slurry of brown nastiness. The so called pulp disintegrate inro the water. What was left were a few strands of tamarind and a collection of seeds. Some smart person could cultivate them and make bracelets and necklaces there was so many of them! So I would warn that if you require tamarind pulp buy the fruit then pulp it yourself. TRS should be ashamed to sell/supply this product. Apparently it is a product of Thailand. I'm sure this must be what the Thai people do not use, some kind of by product which they sell onto TRS. You have been warned!

En effet, je suis très déçue : sur la composition, il n'est noté que la pulpe du fruit et aucun ajout de rien d'autre. Or, la pâte est salée. Si ce n'est pas du sel, alors le produit est périmé ou moisi ou pourri. Le goût est exécrable, j'ai du jeter les 3 paquets acheté tellement c'est horrible. Je le regrette bien. Je suis plutôt mécontente.

Ho fatto una pessima figura con una persona a cui tenevo! L'ho ordinato, ma non era scritto che conteneva sale in così grande quantità. Mi è stato riferito che era una specie di "marmellata di Tamarindo" con i noccioli, ma talmente salata da far vomitare.È stato buttato nell'immondizia.
