Tasty and more ish American food.
Overdone perfection!
I was so excited to see these released. I'm a person with a palate the enjoys "slightly burnt" snacks, and always look for the overcooked pieces in what I'm eating, whether it's fries, chips, popcorn, etc. These are hands down my new favorite cheez-its! They don't taste burnt, just like they say, a little extra toasty.
Good addition to Cheez-It cracker line.
I hadn't heard of extra toasty Cheez-It crackers, but inasmuch as I'll eat anything that has a Cheez-It label on it, I tried these and they are terrific. It's going to be difficult for me to choose among the five different boxes that I have, but I'll manage and hopefully will not get on the scale in the morning. Cheez-It crackers really taste like cheese and that's why I'll continue to purchase them.

But when the weather turned cold & food started to run short. The choice was fuel to keep moving or food. Then while at a library. I remembered I have an Bolo Store Card..... Lor got a jacket to stay warm in that matches Holigraph's jacket. Some Purina moist dog for them both. Jack links to share with them, along with Cheezit's. But to look far enough into Bolo & find the section of Gift cards..... OMG!Got the Domino's Pizza E-Gift card. It came 27 1/2mins after purchase. Then had the Taco Bell & Burger King gift cards sent to my Address on the road. When online at both to check balances after they showed up 24hrs later.This even after the payments I'll end up making is far better than freezing or being hungry.
Mixed Bag
Some Cheez It are more toaster than others as the "extra toasty" advertised is not consistent.Even if you get lucky and grab a handful of extra toasty ones after eating a few in a row, it starts tasting the same as regular Cheez It as your taste buds get accustomed to the raw taste.Seeing this, the extra toasty-ness is better picked out if you make your own trail mix, so your mouth doesn't get used to the same taste/texture.Overall same great taste as the original, may have some non extra toasty strays in the batch.

Glad to have a box of mostly "darker" aka extra toasty ones! Let me say though that I have gotten boxes with not as many in it for my liking. And I've had boxes that I wish would never end. It is the same thing that happens with saltine crackers...sometimes you get them with salt on them (they are saltines after all) and then sometimes you wonder if they ran out of salt at the factory!
