A urinary tract infection (UTI) is diagnosed using a urine test, which can detect bacteria and blood in the urine.
A urinary infection is an inflammation of the urinary tract, mostly caused by bacteria, and primarily intestinal bacteria. This test will screen for the presence of any protein, nitrites or leukocytes in your urine. The presence of these components may indicate a bacterial infection of the bladder.
The test is the same one as done by your GP/Doctor. Simply collect a sample of your urine into a clean uncontaminated container. Immerse the test strip into the container of urine for about 2 seconds. Wait 60 seconds and read the result by comparing with the colour chart provided.
This test will screen for the presence of any blood, nitrites or leukocytes in your urine. The presence of these components may indicate a bacterial infection of the bladder.
IMPORTANT: If the test is positive be sure to consult your doctor.
Indications
It is recommended that, for the test, a sample of urine be taken first thing in the morning, since early-morning urine is the most concentrated.

Useful but next time I will choose sticks with more options on them. This is purely personal and as it was my first purchase it was useful to confirm nitrates before going to GP.

I keep a stock of these strips for a useful early detection of an infection. I have alway found them to be reliable and this to be a good company to deal with but within the last delivery two sachets were already exposed and so unusable

Bought these as they are sealed individually. All 5 were already showing highly positive for leukocytes. No use whatsoever.
