I was always put off by the ornate, brassy, fake-wood, fussy styling of most fans on the UK market. Thought this looked better than most so decided to risk it.It's great - looks even better in real life than in the photo. It's really well made and finished. It's easy to assemble and install. It's quiet, effective, and looks like it's always been there. I use it most of the time even in cold weather because it stirs up the air and gets the heat down from our very high ceiling to floor level. It's so effective that even in a large room I've never had to set it faster than the slowest fan speed.

Relatively straightforward to assemble and once installed it worked with with only a slight hum when in use. According to the instructions this should ease after 24 hours.There is a cone shaped 'Coupling Cover', which has a white rubber grommet fitted at its narrow end. During construction this cover needs to be slid along the 'Downrod'. Be careful when sliding it to make sure that the grommet doesn't come out of its seat or you'll have to take the assembly apart and refit it. That's what happened to me!!

Appearance is great and overall I am happy but they are a pain to put together - I suspect, in the future, we will be sent a piece of stainless steel and a motor and told to fabricate the lot ourselves! :)Note that they need something sturdy to fix them to and I had to fabricate a wooden block in my conservatory. Also the extension pole is essential if fitting to a pitched ceiling to ensure the blades do not foul the ceiling. The supplied pole is only a couple of inches long. (ok for a flat ceiling)The motor is noisier than I expected...not bad... but quite noticeable. Also I had a problem with wobble on one of the units (I bought 2). I tried swapping the blades around but eventually had to fit a weight to one of the blades. Still not as good as the other one but acceptable.The other was perfect out of the box.I bought the remote control but was dismayed to see the size of the controller which need to be fitted inside the fan ceiling boss... no way did I have enough room for it along with the wires so it will go on ebay. Waste of money as the pull switch works fine.

I have only scored this item as a 1 star for installation, as within a couple of seconds of opening, I found there there is only 3 blades, no remote control, no R7 80-watt light bulb (LED compatible) included - in fact there is no light fighting on this fan AT ALL, so I'm unsure what I would have done with the bulb had it been included.The fan itself may or may not be easy to install, but it was at this point that I packaged it back up for return.

our house gets seriously hot, sun all day, so after careful investigation of room sizes and volume of air etc, we purchased the jet 1 c/fan.it took just over an hour to install,with clear simple instructions ,and turned it on, this is going to do the job big time, even on lowest setting, it suremoves some air, and the engine is barely audible, beautifully designed, and a dream to put together, purchased with remote control as part of package. Westinghouse is a legend in this field, and we are now going to do 2 bedrooms as well with same units.Purchase this with confidence. you wont regret it.

Bought this to replace 15+ yr old light fan of same make. I was impressed with the first one and the ceiling mounting bracket holes were in same place so made instalation easier. It's very quiet and easy to sleep with it in low speed. Only negative is the remote receiver which is external to main housing and leaves you with a black wire and small round receiver attached to ceiling. Not very pleasing to the eye.

I'm not in the habit of leaving negative reviews and I have been an electrician for 15 years. Contrary to what other reviews may state here, this is a mediocre fan with a relatively noisy motor. I had two of these delivered, the first was poor and the replacement sounded worse. In the end both were returned, a completely different fan was purchased- paid a little more and got a quality fan with a DC motor which is perfectly silent. You tend to pay for what you get, but I've fitted cheaper fans than this, which were better and quieter.Positives:Aesthetics of the fan, it is nice and modern to look at, with a chrome motor housing and walnut effect laminated blades. Assembly is easy.Negatives:The motor is noisy, particularly in a bedroom (makes a pulsating hum, consistent with cheap AC motors).Plastic chain is unnecessary and looks cheap

Near silent, effective, safe, look good if you shy away from the ones with glass shades dangling from them. This nickel/black version looks quite modern; the white ones blend in well with ceilings and are very discrete. Much better with the (expensive) remote control kit.

Funciona perfectamente. Fácil de utilizar. Puedes regular tres velocidades. La primeras es muy flojita, pero para cuando no hace demasiado calor va bien porque hace que el aire circule. La segunda, que es la que utilizo más, refresca bastante y puedes tenerlo encendido y todo el tiempo que quieras. La tercera es para cuando hace muchísimo calor. Zero ruido, no se nota. La estética es muy bonita. Puedes elegir entre el lado blanco o el marrón clarito. No sé si es fácil de instalar porque me lo puso un profesional. Relación calidad precio óptima

Facile da montare (rispetto ad altri prodotti simili che richiedono lauree in fisica nucleare), questo ventilatore è silenzioso ed efficiente. Non mi piace moltissimo l'azionamento a cordicella ma si può comprare a parte un attuatore telecomandato. Esteticamente è molto bello e si intona con qualsiasi ambiente. Il flusso d'aria generato è delicato e mai fastidioso, e le tre velocità di rotazione consentono di regolarlo a piacere. Consigliatissimo.

Très bel aspect, surtout avec une tige de rallonge qui le "décroche" du plafond. Ultra silencieux en vitesse 1 (inaudible). Montage assez délicat : 1 vis était trop courte, j'ai dû en mettre une plus longue et l'adapter en la recoupant (temps et outillage indispensable). Les pas de vis sont parfois… pas terribles. Mais l'ensemble fini est satisfaisant. À vitesse 3 (maximum), peu de bruit si ce n'est le souffle de l'air (et il brasse !), et peu d'oscillation sur une rallonge de 46cm.

Compré a la vez un ventilador normal y este. Uno para el salón donde no me preocupaba mucho el ruido y este para la habitación. Todo un acierto, es muy silencioso, salvo en la velocidad más alta, pero normalmente no usarás esa velocidad para dormir ya que genera demasiado aire. Esta muy bien equilibrado y salvo a máxima velocidad, las oscilaciones son mínimas.Eso sí, no es muy potente, esto no quiere decir que no cumpla con su cometido, lo hace sobradamente, pero no esperéis que genere un huracán en la habitación. Para dormir a 29º en las noches de verano con ponerlo a la velocidad media, yo ya puedo dormir muy a gusto. Incluso en ocasiones lo pongo en modo invierno, ya que genera menos corriente y por tanto es más agradable para dejarlo toda la noche. Mi habitación es de 12m2.No lleva mando a distancia y hay que comprarlo a parte, en mi opinión es fundamental tenerlo, lo malo que es de IR y tiene receptor que tienes que poner por fuera y queda un poco feo. Pero vamos, es la típica cosa que ves si la buscas, sino te olvidas de que está ahí. Otro toque de calidad es que el receptor lleva adhesivo 3M para pegarlo al techo.
